Apologies if this comes across as somewhat unhinged, but I'm having many thoughts and emotions with this layer, and the many many implications therein.
I think, now that we're getting a better picture of humanity's journey in the world of Ultrakill, that one of the major themes of the game is abandonment, and what is left in the aftermath. After the Long Night, humanity abandoned the machines for the most part, especially the Earthmovers and V1. Humans abandoned the Hell project and the terminals in the bowels of Hell. God abandoned Humanity and Heaven, giving up on them after so long.
And what happens afterwards?
Heaven falls apart, the Council attempting to maintain some form of order in the wake of chaos. The Earthmovers decay as monuments to failure. Machines without purpose as war ceases to be. The Hell expeditions... well. That brings me to my next point.
The victor in all of this, the one who gains? Hell. Hell, who welcomes in the abandoned and revels in Heaven's chaos. Who learns and feeds on the remnants of Humanity and God's failures. A place of cruelty that feeds on what's left behind and welcomes the last remnant of those left behind with open arms. V1. The final project of the war.
I just think abandonment runs through this game like a vein.
YES YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!! the game is laden with abandonment and utter neglect, that the things left behind are not taken care of, no loose ends tied, but instead left to rot indefinitely. and hell absolutely gains in this, because it was the very first of them all to be left behind - god's rejection of it and its subsequent neglect allowed it to grow as a garden left to weeds, and now it clothes itself in the robes of its abandonment. heaven crumbles into dysfunction, humanity grows calamitous, the machines run on automated, long-defunct orders, and hell, suddenly, becomes the house. it is the long abandoned work now left in a world full of nothing but the mirror-images of itself. ones that don't have its experience, its mind, its comfort in being what it is. everything we see in this world is an orphan, still alive, still doing its work, but forgotten by its maker. god left his creations and humans, in his image, did exactly the same with theirs. they were not destroyed. they were not repurposed. they were not guided into something better. they were all just left. and now hell delights in how they all face what it once did eons ago, reaping all the benefits of a chaos it has long since passed. it watches the machine continue without the maker, into a world of decayed automation. forever stuck doing pointless jobs, in heaven, in hell, in machinery. this world runs with no one at the helm, only the gears and cogs left behind that are rusting down into a catastrophic failure
#THANK YOU bc this is one of my fav themes#the abandonment and its automation#echoes of the creators left all over the place#but no creators left. just their creations still running the same orders#and why gabriel as its central character is breaking out of that neverending wheel#cake answers#hell

Wrong photo!
AGED UP AGED UP BRO NO PEDOS
Denki kaminari x fem!reader
You accidentally send Denki a photo of your tits instead of homework, you didn’t expect him to send his dick back
mdi
a/n okay so this is inspired by a post I saw, I forgot the name of the blog but if someone knows can you put the name in the comments? Inspired by this text message thing where you accidentally send mha boys nudes
warning: swearing ,nudes, oral m and f, boobie sucking, fingering 🙏🙏
ALL CREDS GOING TO THE INSPIRED CREATOR
You groan and slam your head onto the table in frustration. This homework was impossible; no matter how many times you went over it, the answers just wouldn’t come. The jumble of equations and theories seemed to mock you from the pages of your textbook.
Grumbling, you pulled out your phone, feeling a mix of desperation and determination. You opened your chats and scrolled to Bakugo’s name. He was one of the smartest kids in class, and despite his rough exterior, you knew he could help.
*name*: bakugo can you help me with this homework?
explosion tits: no figure it out yourself dumbass
*name*: this is why you get no bitches
explosion tits: kys.
You scoffed in annoyance. What’s up his ass recently? you wondered, fidgeting with your phone. The dorms were unusually quiet, with most of the students away at various hero training sessions. Only you and three other kids were left behind, making the place feel almost deserted.
Scrolling through your contacts, you realized your options for homework help were limited. You could message Mineta, but the thought of dealing with his inappropriate responses made your skin crawl. He'd likely send you an unsolicited picture of his 1cm shriveled-up cock instead of any actual help with homework.
That left Denki. While he wasn’t the brightest, he was at least not as creepy as Mineta. You sighed and opened a chat with Denki, typing out a message.
*name* hey does this look right to you? [image]
free charger 🙏 : WOAH HELLO TO YOU TOO
*name* Tf you on about?
Free charger 🙏: [image]
your face turned bright pink as you opened the picture, that was Denkis dick. You always expected him to have a small dick but clearly not. you looked back down at your phone to type
*name* DENKI WHAT THE FUCK
free charger🙏: WHATT YOU SENT ME TITTIES I SENT YOU MY DICK I THOUGHT WE WERE TRADING NUDES
you stare at your screen in complete horror, what does he mean you sent titties? You checked the photo you sent and there it was, the nudes you had saved for dudes you were talking to…. But you had accidentally sent them to the 2nd dude you’d never want to send nudes to, first being mineta.
The sound of fast stomps echoed down the hall, and you assumed it was Bakugo chasing Izuku or Kirishima. Then, you remembered that both Izuku and Kirishima were out doing hero training. So who was stomping down the hallway if not bakugo?
The door bursted open, it was a very panicked kaminari “IM SORRY LETS FORGET ABOUY THIS” he said as he snatched your phone “HEY!” You yelped, trying to grab your phone back “IM DELETING THE PHOTOS HOLD ON!” He screamed, bakugos yelling could be heard in the distance “SHUT IT.” His gruff voice exclaimed. You watched kaminari try to delete the photos, a panicked look on his face; while you watched him do this you looked him up and down, noticing the obvious bulge in his pants
he didn’t have time to jerk off between you sending the photos and him bursting into your room? Your face turning pinker at the idea of his dick, he wasn’t exactly small and he had a very pretty dick… the familiar warmth went straight for your lower belly…
kaminari was muttering quick apologies, trying as quickly as he could to delete the photos “imsorryimsorryimsorryimsorry” “Denki!” “I’m trying to not be such a creep and i basically just ruined it all” “ Denki!” “DONE! What?” He looked up at you “it’s fine, we all make mistakes” you tried to calm him down but to be honest it was more yourself from your own flustered moment “WHAT FRIENDS SEND EACH OTHER NUDES?” He acted bewildered, throwing his hands “uh… friends with benefits?” You shrugged as you thought about it.
Denkis jaw dropped as he once again yelled “ARE WE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS? IVE NEVER EVEN SEEN YOUR BOO- oh wait yes I have” he calmed down at the thought, his eyebrows furrowing before his face proceeding to get a lot pinker. The hardness between his legs became a lot worse. “NOT THE POINT!” He said as he gently threw your phone into your lap, but you seemed preoccupied; Your eyes going between his eyes and his dick.
Denki stood face to face with you, trying to figure out where your line of sight was. Denki soon realised why your face was so pink and it wasn’t because you had just seen his dick on camera or because you accidentally shown him your titties “are you.. are you looking at my dick?!” he seemed so surprised, not a bad surprised with how Pervy he was but just… surprised. “OH SHIT SORRY! H-HOW ABOUT YOU JUST L-LEAVE AND WE NEVER SPEAK OF THIS AGAIN YEAH?” You tried to push Denki out of your dorm, letting out a nervous laugh.
Denki saw an opportunity and he was going to take it? He suddenly resisted against your push and grabbed your hands to take them off his back “hey Uhm…” he starts “well you do have very pretty titties” he smirks and leans down to you, your whole face turning a much pinker shade “w-wha?” You stammered, trying to reach up and push Denki out “what? You do!” He chuckled and took a step forward “Denki what are you doing?” You crossed your arms against your chest, unknowingly giving him a better view of your tits. Denki grins and looks down at them “hey! Now you’re just showing them off.” He sneakily shut the door behind him.
“I-i wasn’t showing them off!” The feeling of arousal became worse and worse, you began to realise he was probably trying to see if you’ll let him see or even touch your boobs “what are you doing..?” You asked as you stepped back, Denki stepping forward “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LEMME SEE ‘EM.” The blonde begged, clasping his hands together as he could feel his pants get even tighter. “I won’t hurt you I promise! I won’t even tell anyone!” He kept begging, even going as far as getting on his knees.
You thought about it for a moment, your face going pink. “I mean.. as long as this stays between us…” you mumbled, looking away to hide your obvious pink face. Denkis eyes lit up but then he tried to look more serious about it, not wanting to assault you obviously. You slowly sat down “AND NO HARD GRABBING! I’m not in the mood for sore boobs” you stuck your finger out at him, laying down some ground rules so you two were on the same page “deal! Wait I can grab them?” His face lit up again “i suppose yeah… BUT DONT HURT ME.” You reminded him of the rule “I’ll be gentle! I’ll be very gentle with you” he raised his hands to show that he was being honest. You got yourself in a more comfortable position on the bed as you pulled your shirt off, chucking it to the other side of the room. While you didn’t notice it, Denki was is absolute awe to see a girl in her bra at all.
“Mkay calm down” you giggled as tried to wake him from his trance, he shook his head to pull himself together. Denki slowly sat next to you on the plush mattress of your bed, he wanted to make himself comfortable for this. Why was he panicking so much?! You reached behind yourself and unclasped your bra, chucking it on the floor too before laying down on your back. Denki was again in complete awe, now he had a pretty girl laying down next to him with her tits out, this day could not get any better for Denki.
“Are you sure I can touch ‘em” he mumbled, obviously wanting confirmation he was actually allowed to touch you. “Yeah go on then” you smiled sweetly up at him, that made his brain overheat. Denkis hand reached out and slowly caressed over your left boob, paying extra attention to the sensitive bud on you. You let out a whimper and his face lit up, a new found confidence going him ability to keep going, his other hand reached out to caress your right tit. He soon found a way to hover over you as he squeezed and gently play with your tits. Denki chuckled in awe, he couldn’t believe he out of all people was making you feel this good. Atleast he assumed you felt good because of the whimpers you let out.
Denki looked up at you and slowly lowered his head to suck on your right nipple. You let out a whine and gripped his hair, grabbing a fistful. He giggles against your boob and waves his tongue over the sensitive bud “shit…”he whispered as he popped off your boob and leaned down to suck on the other one, fondling the one he just had in his mouth. You arched your back a little and let out a coo, running your fingers through his golden blonde locks. The blonde soon popped off your other boob, fondling both with his warm hands. He smirked smugly as he admired your body, he lowered his head again to kiss the valley between each breast before lowering his kisses down your belly as he listened to your sweet noises
“shit your actually really pretty, not like because I just sucked your tits it’s because your like actually pretty!” He sat up to admire you, you blushed and gripped the bedsheets “hmmph.” You pouted “damn someone’s got a attitude” Denki muttered as he went back to kissing your boobs and tummy, you slowly snaked your hand into his hair again and let out a series of whimpers with each kiss and suck. Denki grumbled when he realised that he didn’t have any condoms, looks like a blow job will do fine.
“Can I uh.. take your shorts off?” He asked, trying to atleast make you comfortable “it’s okay if you don’t wanna! It’s completely up to you princess” Denki grins up at you “yeah.. it’s fine” you sat up on your elbows to look down at him, his face was flushed and his eyes sparkled with arousal. Denki placed his fingers under your waistband and pulled your shorts down “shit were going commando today?” His eyebrows raised as his pupils grew, he used his big hands to pull your thighs apart “oh my god your so wet..” Denki mumbled, he had a genuine idea on how to eat a girl out from the pornos he watched but other than that he didn’t know how to pleasure you!
“you gotta let me eat you out” he looked up at you, Pupils blown and all. You let out a surprised whimper, then slowly nodded. “With your words princess with your words” he tapped your thigh with his finger, you gulped and looked down at your pussy “yeah.. sure you can eat me out..” you mumbled bashfully, Denki grinned and pulled your hips towards his face. Licking a stripe from your entrance to your clit, you let out a moan and gripped the bedsheets “nghh” your back arched off the mattress. Denki began to eat you out like a starved man, shoving his tongue inside and tongue fucking you before sucking on your clit, he pulled back with a pop and stuck his two fingers into his mouth to use as lube even though you were slick enough from your own juices and his spit for his two fingers to slide right in.
slowly Denki slid his fingers inside of you, stretching your walls out deliciously. You let out a desperate whine as he began to pump his thick fingers deeper and deeper, hr leaned back down to tongue at your clit. You sat up and gripped at his hair, he grunted against your clit. Causing a vibration against your core “t’much! I’m gonna.. I’m gonna..” you whined as the grip on his hair got tighter “holy shit am I about to make a girl cum?” He thought in his mind as he began to pump his fingers faster, making you release more and more moans. eventually you let out one last squeal before cumming hard on his fingers, you panted tiredly and looked down at his hand. Denki slowly pulled his fingers out, slick and cum glistening his fingers. Denki slowly stuck his fingers in his mouth and tasted you on his digits “shit.. pussy tastes good” he mumbled “huh?!” You gasped “calm down!” He chuckles and sat up, leaning his body over you “would you please suck me off? I’m actually really hard and it’s starting to hurt like a lot” he said with a sigh, enjoying the thought of you chocking on his dick.
you gulped and looked down between his legs, the bulge looked painful. “Yeah.. that looks like it hurts.” You nodded as you sat up straight, now completely naked infront of him. Denki grinned and sat down on the mattress, pulling his shorts and boxer briefs off his hips. Releasing his cock from the constraints of his pants , the poor thing was so hard that he even had precum dripping down the length of his dick:((
you sat down on the floor between his legs, your face blushing. Denki ran his hands through his hair, an attempt to calm his nerves. “You know I’ve never had a blow job before” he chuckles nervously as he watches you spit into your hand, you look up at him “I’ve never been eaten out before this so it’s fine” you told him, teaching over and beginning to stroke his lengthy cock. He let out a groan, your hand was so much better then his own fist. You leaned forward and licked the side; base to tip, giving the tip a couple swirls of the tongue. He groaned “shit are you sure you’ve never done this before?!” He said with a groan “mhm..” you hummed against the tip, causing a vibration that made him moan. Denki grabbed a fist full of your hair and pushed your head down on his cock. “Nghh fuck! That feels too good… I’ll probably cum quick…” he groaned as he used his hand to help you suck it, face fucking you.
you could feel the tip of his length going down your throat, tears welling up in your eyes. You gripped his thighs tightly so you had something to hold onto “shit I’m gonna fucking.. cum” he grunted as he began to face fuck you a little faster, he pushed your face all the way down his cock before letting out spurts of hot cum “soo fucking good…” he mumbled, letting your head go so you could breath. You pulled your face off his cock and slowly swallowed all of it, opening your mouth so he could see you swallows all of his seed “that’s hot…” he smirked and rubbed your cheek, and all of this came from doing homework
SHIT YOUR HOMEWORK.

The sound of a door being opened echoed through the room. You were sitting on the small bed when someone walked in the room. It was the Winter Soldier. He closed the door behind him. He walked towards the bed. His eyes never left you for a second.
“Stand up.” The Winter Soldier demands.
You didn’t dare to move a muscle. You stayed in your spot on the bed. A squeak left your lips when his right hand grabbed your arm with a bruising grip and yanked you up from the bed so you were standing up.
“When I tell you to do something, I expect you to do it.” He says, his face close to yours.
“Y-Yes, Soldat.” You replied with a stutter.
His hand released your arm and shoved you back on the small bed. You sat up on your elbows, looking up at him. He studied your body language. He watched the way your chest rose and fell as you breathed.
He then leaned over you, placing his right hand next to your head while his metal hand grasped your jaw with a firm grip. Not hard enough to hurt you. Before you knew it, his lips were on yours, kissing you roughly. You moaned against his lips.
You were so distracted by him kissing you that you didn’t realize his metal hand left your jaw. His metal hand found the neckline of your shirt and ripped it off, throwing the ruined fabric somewhere in the room. You gasped against his lip when you felt the cool metal of his metal hand touching your skin.
“Are you going to hurt me?” You asked nervously.
“No.” He simply answers.
His metal hand found its way to your breasts, giving it a squeeze. A tingle went through your body when his metal fingers pinched your nipple. He repeated his actions with your other breast.
“Такая красивая.” He mutters in Russian.
His lips moved down to your neck, kissing all over. A whimper left your lips when he bit your neck. Not hard enough to draw blood, but hard enough for a hickey. He pulled his lips away from your neck to look at the hickey that was starting to appear on your skin.
“Мой.” He says, looking at the hickey.
His hands found their way to the waistband of your sleep shorts, yanking them down along with your panties. You are now naked and fully exposed to him.
You watched his right hand go in between your legs, his fingers grazing over your pussy, making you gasp and grab his wrist out of instinct. That resulted in him wrapping his metal hand around your throat, giving you a warning look. You stared in his blue eyes that are now dark with lust and let go of his wrist and let him do whatever he’s about to do to you.
Without warning, he slid two of his metal fingers in your pussy. A loud moan fell from your lips. His fingers moved in and out of your pussy at a fast pace.
“Fuck!” You moaned.
“You liked that, don’t you, кукла?” He says huskily.
You moaned and nodded in response, but that wasn’t enough for him. His right hand grasped your jaw, making you look him in the eye.
“I expect you to answer me when I’m talking to you.” He almost growls.
“Yes!” You finally said. “I like it!” You tell him. “So much!” You say.
He smirks and let go of your jaw after he got the answer he wanted. Your hands grasped onto the sheet beneath you, clutching the thin fabric in your hands. The cool feeling of his metal fingers felt so fucking good in your pussy. You love the feeling of them rubbing along your walls.
He unexpectedly curled his fingers, hitting your sweet spot perfectly. Your hips bucked against his metal hand and a loud moan fell from your lips. He placed his right hand on your stomach to hold you down so you couldn’t move.
“No moving.” He said.
His fingers sped up their thrusts. His metal thumb began to rub your clit, applying pressure. Your hands clutched the sheets tighter. Your head tilted back against the mattress and your eyes fluttered shut. The Winter Soldier didn’t like that. He wants your eyes on him at all times, especially right now.
“Open your eyes.” He demands. “Don’t make me ask you again.” He says.
You obeyed his demand and opened your eyes and lifted your head so you were looking at him. His fingers curled again, hitting your sweet spot again. Strings of moans left your lips when he did so. Your orgasm began to build up the more his fingers curled against your sweet spot.
“I-I’m close.” You moaned, almost whimpering.
“No.” Is all he said.
He abruptly took his fingers out of your pussy, making you whine and throw your head back against the mattress in frustration. His right hand grabbed your jaw again, getting you to look at him.
“What the hell have I told you about your fucking whining?” He asks, his face getting close to yours.
“Not to.” You answered.
“Then quit your fucking whining before I give you something to whine about.” He says.
He gave you a rough kiss before letting go of your jaw. He pulled away from your lips to stand up straight. He grabbed your arm, pulling you up from the bed. He turned you around so you were facing the bed and pushed you onto the bed. You were now laying on your stomach. You looked over your shoulder, glancing back at him.
“Eyes forward.” He orders, turning your head so you were looking at the wall in front of you.
A tingle went through your body when you heard the sound of the zipper of his tactical pants being unzipped. He pulled down his tactical pants and boxers just enough for his cock to spring out. He put his hands on your hips, forcefully lifting you up enough so your knees were on the mattress and your ass was in the air. His right hand landed a harsh smack on your ass, making you squeak. A red hand print mark would soon appear.
You felt the mattress dip behind you in between your legs. You shivered when you felt the cool metal of his metal hand against your upper back. His metal hand pushed your upper body against the mattress, keeping you in place. He wrapped his right hand around his hard cock, stroking it a couple times before lining it at your wet and tight entrance. Your hands clutched the sheet again, bracing yourself for his cock, knowing how big he is. Your mouth fell open and a whimper left your lips when he slid his cock in your pussy. The stretch from his cock stung, but it also felt good.
The Winter Soldier gave you no warning and no time to adjust to his size whatsoever when he started thrusting. His thrusts were fast and rough, but you were all for it. His metal hand slid up to the back of your head, grabbing a handful of your hair and pulled you up so your back was against the front of his body. You winced at the tight grip his hand had on your hair, but you didn’t complain one bit.
“You like it when I do this, don’t you, кукла?” He says in your ear.
“Mhmm, yes!” You answered.
He chuckled lowly in your ear. The Winter Soldier can easily throw you around if he wants. Not in a way to hurt you. If you’re being honest, you like it when he basically throws you around like a rag doll and manhandles you. He knows it too. It catches you off guard sometimes, but other than that, you like it.
His metal hand left your hair and snaked its way to your throat, wrapping his hand around your throat and squeezing it, not hard enough to cut off your airway. You moaned at the feeling of it. Your eyes nearly rolled to the back of your head. You brought a hand up to his metal wrist and wrapped your hand around it, keeping his metal hand there.
“Fuck, you’re such a whore for my metal arm.” He growls, squeezing your throat a bit tighter.
You moaned at the feeling. He sped up his thrusts. His pelvis pressed up against your ass every time he thrusted. The material of his tactical pants rubbed against your skin. The sound of skin slapping and the smell of sex filled the room.
“You like being my own personal cockslut, don’t you, кукла?” He says, his voice sounding husky.
“Y-Yes!” You moaned.
Your moans urges him on. His thrusts became harder. His right hand found its way to your clit, his fingers rubbing you clit vigorously. You arched your back off of his body. Your pussy squeezed around his cock. The Winter Soldier moaned at the feeling. At this point, your nails were digging into his metal wrist. Your legs began shaking from the amount of pleasure you were receiving. That’s when you felt your lower stomach tighten. Your orgasm was building up so fast. Your moans got louder and high pitched.
“Oh f-fuck!” You moaned. “Can I cum please?” You asked.
“No.” Is all he said.
“Please!” You begged.
“I don’t care how much you beg. You’re coming when I do.” He says.
You squeezed your eyes shut. It took everything in you to hold back and not cum. You were right there too, but he told you to hold it. Your pussy fluttered around his cock once more, making his cock twitch inside of you. His orgasm was building up too. He is just as close to coming as you are.
“Fuck!” He moans as he came inside of you.
His cum painted your walls. There was a white ring of cum around his cock as he continued to fuck you.
“Cum.” He says, finally giving you permission.
Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you came hard, soaking his cock and the front of his tactical pants.
“Good girl.” He praises, patting your clit a couple times.
He gave your clit a rough rub before he stopped rubbing it. His thrusts came to a slow stop. He let go of your throat and pulled his cock out of you. You nearly lost your balance on your knees. He spun you around, manhandling you. You moaned against your lips when he kissed you roughly. He pulled away and pushed you backwards. You fell back on the bed. The Winter Soldier glanced down at you cum filled pussy. His right hand reached down and his thumb began rubbing your sensitive clit. You whimpered and squirmed. He chuckled lowly. He put his cock back in his boxers and zipped and buttoned them back up.
“Until next time, кукла.” He says softly, lightly patting your cheek with his metal hand.

404*
Summary: The one where you and Harry are software engineers on a project for Juno Inc.
And you can’t fucking stand each other.
Word Count: 2.6k
*Contains Mature and Explicit content! Please only consume what you feel comfortable with!💞You are so much more important!*
(Note: This edit is not mine!! I believe the @ is on it, but full credit to the incredible creator! It's so perfect!!)
“What the hell are you still doing here?”
Your eyes never leave the computer screen as Harry’s familiarly snippy question echoes across the empty lab. “Working,” you answer simply.
He snorts as the door falls shut behind him. “It’s two in the fucking morning, I thought you left hours ago.”
“I did. And then I came back.”
You vaguely hear him walk further into the dark room, slipping around the different tables as he moseys his way closer. “Why?”
“S’this fucking sequence,” you mumble, now glaring at the different variants that litter the test. “Every time I run the simulation, the connection fails. And it shouldn’t.”
Your peripheral catches the way he uses his knuckle to push his glasses further up the bridge of his nose. “Is there a missing link?”
“There shouldn’t be. I’ve run it before, and it’s worked fine. But now it’s not. It’s like something is broken.”
“Or missing,” he argues, coming to a stop behind your chair. He studies the project from over your shoulder, and you feel your muscles recoil when you get a whiff of his cologne. “There could be something wrong with the back end.”
“Okay, well, there’s not,” you retort, shooting him a quick glare. “I already checked.”
“Well maybe you missed it. You have a tendency to misplace things.”
“I didn’t misplace it, Harold, I studied every inch of that fucking code, and there was nothing broken or missing.”
He leans back, arms crossing as he regards both you and the program. “Maybe you should check it again.”
“And maybe you should bite me,” you huff, too overworked to deal with the snarky attitude. “I really don’t have time for this today, all right? Can you just leave me to it?”
“I’d like to, but clearly you don’t know what you’re doing,” he replies calmly, and even without looking at him, you can sense his smug smile. “Every time I leave you to it, I come back to find out you’ve wrecked our project.”
Your eyes roll. “First of all, it’s not our project. It’s my project. And second…why are you even here? I thought you had shit to do tonight.”
“I did, but I’m done now.”
“Oh, so, naturally you came back just to annoy me?”
“Naturally.” He places his hand on the desk beside you and leans down, hovering near your arm as he glances over the computer. “There could be something wrong with the framework. Try the sequence again, I wanna see how it behaves.”
“No thanks.”
Harry smirks, and you realize you don’t like how close his face is. “Relax, Tinkerbell, I just wanna help.”
“And I don’t want your help,” you remind him, using your elbow to shove him to the side. “I’ve spent months with this program, it’s my baby, and I will fix it alone.”
“We’re supposed to be working together,” he argues, but it’s much too coy. “So stop being such a bitch and just run the goddamn sequence.”
You snort under your breath as you spin around in your chair to look at him. “It was that bad, huh?”
He settles back against the table behind him, hands shoving into his pockets as he stares right back. “What was bad?”
“The sex.” You jut your chin toward him. “The thing you had to do tonight. It was bad enough that you had to come back here and start swinging your dick around just to feel better.”
He smirks, tongue running over his bottom lip. “It was fine.”
“Fine? Gee, how romantic.”
He exhales an amused laugh and glances around the lab. “She was still hung up on her ex. Think it lasted all of fifteen minutes, and I’m pretty sure she faked it.”
“Well, she was having sex with you. Of course she faked it.”
His smile gets a bit bigger. “Well, I faked it, too.”
“You?” you scoff. “No way. She could have sneezed on your cock, and you still would have cum.”
His head shakes, grinning wildly. “Normally, yeah. But we both just wanted to get out of there.”
“Poor girl.”
“Yeah? What about poor me?”
“Oh, I never feel sorry for you. You always find a way to get what you want eventually.”
His head tilts, green eyes sparkling behind the tortoiseshell frames of his glasses. “Do I?”
“Clearly.” You settle back into your chair, legs crossing. “I mean, have you ever heard the word no in your life?”
“Hear it all the time with you.”
“Exactly. I’m doing you a favor.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah. I’m keeping you humble.”
“Is that right?”
“It is.”
That smug look of endearment returns as the lab falls silent. He watches you for quite some time, and you think that you’d pay anything to hear what he’s really thinking.
Then, he smirks. “Good,” he says, and with that, he’s pushing off the desk and striding to you.
He bridges the five-foot gap between you with ease, and you aren’t even afforded the chance to take a breath before he’s grabbing hold of your face and kissing you.
His large body bends in order to reach you in the chair, but you can feel him tugging on you. Encouraging you up and into his hold as you gasp against his mouth and allow him to help you stand.
It’s a seamless dance. Familiar. He grabs onto your hips and slams you onto the desk, knocking a few pens and some of the various equipment out of the way.
His hands are sliding up your shirt. Memorizing the expanse of your skin as his lips press into your neck. Nipping and sucking just below your ear in the way he knows you love.
Your fingers have disappeared into his curls. They’re soft and oddly comforting. Perfect to tug on as you whimper gently and arch your back. Pressing your tits against his chest as he groans.
“Can I tell you a secret?” he murmurs, now sliding his hand toward the zipper on your jeans.
You nod quickly, mewling as you practically buck into his touch.
He smiles, mouth trailing across your jaw, “I was thinking about someone else, too.”
Your lashes flutter shut.
“The whole time,” he carries on, rough fingertips dancing down the front of your underwear. “When I was with her. Couldn’t think about anybody else but you. Every time she’d whine or say my name, I thought about how you’d do it. How you’d sound, how you’d feel.”
Your nails scratch down his black t-shirt, needing more than anything to feel his skin. See it littered with your marks. Your claim.
“She could never do it right,” he tells you, and it makes your stomach wrench. “Never do it like you.”
“Yeah?” you manage to breathe, wiggling in an effort to help him yank your pants down. “S’that why you couldn’t get hard?”
He grins as he flicks his belt undone. “Who says I couldn’t get hard?”
With a rather determined tug, he shoves your panties to the side, large hands stroking through your folds.
“Because if I’m thinking about you,” he whispers, eyes trained on your cunt, “I’m always fucking hard.”
You whine when he thrusts inside, two fingers to start. He’s rarely gentle, but you love it. And so does he, obsessed with the image of your pussy stretching around him. Any part of him. His tongue, his hands, his cock.
He’s bigger than most, and he always makes sure to prep you before he gives you what you really want. Granted, he taunts you with the idea of ruining you and splitting your poor cunt in half each time. Driving himself to the hilt before your tight little hole is ready. He likes the idea of corrupting you for someone else.
“Relax,” he instructs, soft but firm. “S’gonna hurt a lot more if you don’t.”
You drop your head back and balance yourself on your hands, legs pushed open by his hips. “I’m trying,” you whimper, just to see his jaw clench.
“Gonna have to try harder,” he says, working his fingers into your wet cunt while his glasses slowly begin to slip down his nose. Settling at a crooked angle, and it makes you smile. “Can’t give you my cock if you don’t.”
You push your lips into a pout. “Please, Har.”
He looks up, the veins in his neck prominent as he seems to swallow another groan. “You’re so tight, Tink. Gonna wreck this pretty pussy if I don’t get you stretched.”
“Good,” you moan, thighs shaking as he brings a third finger closer. “Want you to.”
He grins. “Yeah?”
You nod fervently. “Want you to do whatever you want. I’m always good for you. Always fit you.”
“You do,” he agrees quietly, the heel of his hand pressing into your clit as he works through your arousal at a quicker pace. “Always take me so well. Even when it makes you cry.”
You whine again at the thought as he finally yanks his fingers free and moves to retrieve his cock.
You’re nearly salivating at the idea, scooting toward the edge of the table in preparation as he pulls himself out and steps up to you.
Your eyes widen when you see him. Hard and heavy in his hand, leaking the most delicious looking drops of pre-cum that you’re already thrilled he never offered this other girl.
He runs the tip through your folds a time or two, making you both squirm before he gently begins to push in.
You have to give him props for the amount of restraint he always demonstrates for you. The ability to go slow and be delicate despite the fact all he wants to do is ram himself inside you and settle into your warm cunt.
Like now. You can see the effects of such sluggish movements, the way he holds himself back until he’s sure you’ll be all right. Teeth gritting, muscles tensed, cock throbbing.
You reach out and gently slide his glasses back up, making sure they’re comfortable and that he can see all right before kissing him. “Okay…okay, go.”
He kisses you back quickly before studying you. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” you whimper, hooking your leg around his hip. “Need it, Har, please.”
And that’s all it takes for him to sheath himself inside your aching pussy, disappearing completely between your legs as you both moan.
The quiet lab isn’t so quiet anymore, and you throw your arms around his neck as he begins to pull out and push back in.
“There she is,” he grunts, large hand squeezing your thigh to keep you still. “Look at you, Tink, taking me so well.”
“Always,” you exhale, pressing your mouth to his cheek.
“Better than she ever was,” he continues, setting a quicker rhythm now. “So much better.”
He’s pounding you into the desk, hitting spots that make you see stars, and you clench around him until he gasps.
“Funny how well you take me…when you claim to hate me so much,” he says now, unable to resist needling you, and you whimper.
“I do,” you insist, despite the way you scratch down his back. “Fucking hate you.”
“Yeah?” His hips snap to yours. “S’that why you always beg for my cock?”
You don’t like the insinuation that you beg him for anything, especially when you know that he’s right. But you’re too far gone right now to take care, equally as depraved of pleasure as he seems to be.
The two of you don’t do this often. Maybe once or twice a month, if that. Most of the time, it’s incredibly unfriendly. A quick fuck in the supply closet or in his car in the parking lot. In between quippy remarks about how fucking unhinged the other is. How idiotic, and uncouth, and how goddamn annoying.
Because he is. So endlessly annoying and every day you have to resist the urge to slap those fucking glasses off his face.
But he knows how to fuck. That much is certain, and despite your immeasurable hatred for him, you can’t help but fall victim to his prowess.
In fact, moments like this are about the only time you don’t mind him. That you can actually stand him, and even want to submit to him.
Of course, you’re filled with regret and embarrassment the second you’re both finished, but for these few minutes…you don’t mind.
“Every fucking day,” he continues, holding onto your waist as he buries his cock deeper. “Have to watch you parade around like you’re fucking God’s gift to technology.”
You’d snort if you had enough air in your lungs to do so.
“In your fucking tight little tank tops and see through dresses,” he seethes, dragging you back to the edge of the desk to angle you the way he likes. “With your hair always up in that stupid ponytail. Just begging to be pulled. To be yanked onto your knees while you take me down your throat.”
Your eyes roll back as you keen into his body. Memories of swallowing around him flooding your mind as you shiver.
Despite his aggravating remarks, he’s always so proud of you when you take his cock down your throat. He knows it’s a lot and he knows he can’t force you to do anything your body isn’t equipped to handle.
But he’s enamored with the way you try. Pleased to see you lick him, suck him, take as much of him as you can. He might hate you, but he praises you more than anybody else ever has.
And it’s one of the main reasons you can’t quit him.
“Then maybe…you shouldn’t look,” you pant, whimpering when he thrusts particularly hard. “I don’t wear that shit for you.”
He snorts, now grabbing onto your wrist and forcing your hand against your clit. He moves your fingers for you, pressing them into the sensitive nerves until you cry out and clamp down on him again.
“No?” he taunts, cock twitching inside you as he nears his release. “Then who do you wear it for, hm? Fucking Sam?”
You make another noise as he pushes your body into more immense pleasure, touch still locked atop yours.
“No, not Sam,” he decides. “Cause Sam can’t do it the way I can. S’why you came to me, isn’t it?”
You don’t dignify this with a response. You don’t have to. He knows.
“Sam can’t make you cum, can he?” Harry continues, almost vengefully as he feels you get closer. “Never fucking could. That’s why you only cum for me.”
It’s blinding. So intense that it makes your entire body ache as you fall victim to the wave of pleasure pulling you under.
He’s right behind you, spilling into your cunt before spilling out of it. Dripping down your legs, down the table, down his thighs as you both ride each other through the bliss.
He doesn’t let you release your clit for at least a good two minutes after, ignoring your pleas for mercy as your body struggles against the sensation.
It’s overwhelming. Hot, sticky, sweaty. He pulls out to go grab a towel from the supply closet before bringing it back and helping you clean up.
He leaves a few teasing licks to your cunt in the process, and you swat your hand across his head in warning.
He smirks.
Once he’s finished, he pulls your jeans back on and up before tucking himself into his pants to do the same.
Then, after helping you hop down, he offers you a lopsided grin and pushes his glasses back up.
“Now,” he says coyly, “go be a good girl and run the fucking sequence.”

Needing to be alone in that ship is a luxury neither one of you have. The sleeping shifts in the little bunk aren’t working. He can’t even take his helmet off without inhaling the scent of whatever soap or perfume you use. Filling his nostrils and making his cock ache in the darkness. He can’t even take himself in hand to relieve the problem. Too wary of you hearing his grunts and groans as he fucks his hand, you seem to hear every sound he makes as it echoes through the metal hull of the Razor Crest.
Finally, he’s ready to return to Nevarro. To dump off the bounties that you’ve collected and gather more pucks. His rifle is left behind this time, not needed for where he will go after his meeting with Karga and he doesn’t want to have to store it somewhere else. The little storefront he will visit doesn’t allow rifles, just regular blasters.
Running through the sandy alleys of Nevarro, you tread a familiar path. One that you slip off the ship and escape to every time you are here. Mando never asks any questions, never tells you where he goes for hours at a time. Both of you have a don’t ask, don’t tell policy about your time spent on this planet and you are happy for that.
You had found this place by accident. Looking for a store that sold display arrays that you could modify to fit the Crest, you had walked into The Hole. Karga had mentioned it once, chuckling and telling Mando about the wondrous treasures that could be found within its hallowed walls. The wall of metal beside you had practically shoved you from the booth and told you that you were leaving, your questions about what kind of place it was left unanswered.
You had assumed it was a junk store. A place where people deposit their junk that is treasures to someone else. You had gone looking for it when you were bored and discovered why the Bounty Hunter’s Guild leader chuckle was so dirty when he mentioned it. It was a Glory Hole.
You love going. The woman’s side is alright, but after one experience with a Twi’lek’s fangs, you had decided to stick with giving rather than receiving. So you come here and sit behind the wall to suck a stranger’s cock, fingering yourself while you do it.
The Sullustan that runs this place doesn’t mind it at all. He doesn’t pay you and he gets to have a paying customer pleased. For him, it’s a boon when you walk in the door and he makes sure that he always assigns you the first customer to come when you are in your little booth.
Mando stalks down the street, his head turned straight as he walks with a purpose. He will just slip inside The Hole and lay down a few credits. Get some relief that is sorely needed to make another trip with you on his ship. The payment from Karga was generous, but half belongs to you. The pucks on his belt will be dealt with soon enough, after he’s lightened his load in the anonymity of the glory hole and finds you again.
He doesn’t know who is on the other side, but he always imagines you. Takes fragments of expressions you’ve given him over the months together as he closes his eyes behind his helmet and lets the mouth around him suck him off. Already hard beneath the flight suit, he steps inside the door and finds the proprietor to give him the required credits.
Waiting never takes long. You’re already slick with arousal, fingers rolling over your clit teasingly and lightly dipping inside your cunt as you kneel in front of the hole. The cushion for your knees is a lovely little boon to your aching bones from kneeling on the metal grate floor of the Crest when you are working behind some mech panel. You hear shuffling, cunt clenching in anticipation for the cock that will be fed through the hole and presented to your hungry mouth.
The booth is private. Something that Mando appreciates, even if he doesn’t do more than pull his cock out of his flight suit. He can relax, enjoy the pleasure without worrying about an attack from behind. Shuffling inside and closing the door behind him, he works on pulling his stiff length out with a quiet groan.
You freeze. Aware of that groan, that sound. You know who makes it and yet you can’t fucking believe it. Mando couldn’t have come here. There is no way he would do this. You break your own rule and crouch down, peeking through the hole and choke when the familiar flash of orange tipped gloves can be seen.
Pulling back, you don’t know what to do. You should say something, stop him. You know that he doesn’t want you, he’s never made any move on you. Never given you any clue that he finds you to be anything more than adequate help and an annoyance.
Before you can find your voice, the thick heft of his cock slides through the hole and into sight. It’s fucking gorgeous. Making your mouth water at the girth, the length. He’s more than a mouthful and you want to taste him. You swallow, still unsure of what to do.
Mando looks down, his cock is in the hole and yet there isn't a mouth around him. Pulling his hips back slightly and pushing forward again, wondering if the worker isn’t paying attention. He’s already aching, the head of his cock nearly purple with repressed need and his voice is slightly impatient. “Suck it.”
You shiver, the growl coming from the other side of the wall shoots straight to your core and you can imagine that impassive visor looking down on you mercilessly. This is your fucking dream come true and he doesn’t even know it’s you.
The small drop of liquid built on the tip calls to you and leaning forward, you lap at the tip, eliciting a dark, deep groan from Mando on the other side. Tasting his very essence and enjoying the salty drip on your taste buds before you start to lick down the length of him.
His head tips back, visor pointed up at the ceiling as the wet heat drags up and down his cock. He needs this. Perhaps needing a pussy more, he will take this blow job and imagine you on your knees in front of him. Taking his cock down your throat and looking up at him with those pretty big eyes of yours. “Fuck.” He hisses.
Your cunt quivers, fingers slipping in the slick that is now pouring out of your needy hole and you take the head of his cock into your mouth right as you bury your fingers down to the knuckles in your pussy.
His fist curls tight, resting against the wall as he feels the mouth take him deeper. Eyes rolling back in his head as he groans again. Letting the pleasure of this wet heat surround him. “Take it all.” He growls.
Fuck. You whimper around his cock because the man will be the death of you. He gives dirty talk a first class name through that modulator. Doing as he ordered immediately and taking him deeper into your mouth, you hum around him and push your fingers in and out of your soaked cunt.
He gets lost in the sensation. The soft sucking and the hollowed cheeks when the pull on his shaft is a bit stronger. The fluttering of the tongue around him and driving him crazy when that mouth pulls back and that tongue presses against the slit. Whoever it is has some talent and he still imagines that it’s you pleasuring him.
You put everything you hand into this blow job. Your hand that isn’t buried in your pants is wrapped around the base of his cock, wanting to keep as much of him on this side of the wall and give him as much pleasure as you can. The fact that your fingers barely fit around the base makes you moan around him, trying to stuff a third finger inside your aching cunt while you bob your head.
“That’s it.” He growls, his body tensing under the pressure of that mouth on the other side of the hole. “I’m gonna cum, cyar'ika.” He hisses. “And you’re gonna drink every drop.”
You whine, wanting that more than anything as you plunge your fingers in and out, rolling your hips down onto your hand to ride it while you suck his cock. You want every drop, you want to drink him down and make him limp with pleasure.
Your own pleasure is so closely linked with this moment that you feel your body starting to prime to cum when his cock starts to pulse.
It takes just a moment, from the pulling of his balls against his body to the stream of cum that bursts onto your tongue with a low groan of praise that you can’t even hear because your blood is rushing in your ears as you start to swallow down great, greedy gulps of him while your cunt spasms around your fingers. Moaning Mando’s name around his length inaudibly, rolling your eyes at how much you love that this has happened. How you want it again already.
Your name is poised on his lips, barely being able to hold it back. Riding out his orgasm with slow rocks of his hips as the mouth moans and whimpers around him. He’s never had such an active blow job before and he’s already wondering how fast he can capture those bounties so he can come back to The Hole to seek it out again.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Long, long ago, even before humans existed, our beloved Creator walked upon the land they had formed, accompanied by dragons and living harmoniously with their creations. Their mere presence caused bountiful fruits and vegetables to grow, and with each step they took, golden flowers blossomed.
As time passed and the first mortals and gods emerged on Teyvat, the Creator ascended to a higher plane, beyond the understanding of mortals and gods. Yet, their gaze never left Teyvat, always watching over their creation.
But then, without warning, the tranquil and pure presence vanished into thin air. The following day, disaster erupted across Teyvat, accompanied by numerous cataclysms. All living beings were left bewildered, not knowing what offense they had committed to warrant such a punishment from their Creator. This tragic event became an indelible mark in Teyvat's history.
In the present day, tales of our Creator are rarely spoken, and only a few ancient scripts remain to remember them. It seems as though humans have forgotten and abandoned the Creator, the memory of their grace fading into obscurity.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Descending back onto the physical plane as a human felt both alien and exhilarating. The first gasp for air filled your lungs with a sharp, cool sensation, invigorating and strange after eons of ethereal existence. Each breath tasted of the earthy, ancient air of Teyvat, grounding you in a way you had almost forgotten.
Your eyes scanned your surroundings, taking in the dimly lit chamber. You found yourself back inside the old temple where you had once departed from this world, your first creation of both the planet and the universe it resided in.
The room was vast and ancient, with high, vaulted ceilings adorned with faded frescoes depicting the dawn of creation. The stone walls were etched with intricate runes and symbols, remnants of a time long past. Torches flickered softly in their sconces, casting dancing shadows that seemed to whisper secrets of the ages.
You were lying on top of a stone slab, the surface cold and unyielding beneath you. A simple white robe clothed your new form, its fabric coarse against your skin, yet comforting in its simplicity.
You raised your hands, watching eagerly as you moved each finger. The sensation was foreign, a mix of fascination and discomfort. The human body felt both fragile and potent, a vessel brimming with possibilities.
Attempting to stand, you found your legs unsteady, and you tumbled to the hard, cold ground with a soft thud. "Ugh..." you huffed, the sound escaping your lips, a blend of frustration and determination.
You tried to stand up, but your arms and legs were still shaking. You let out a sigh. 'This body is more fragile than I thought it would be...' you mused.
Crafting this body had been a complex task, designed to contain a tiny fraction of your powers and your Consciousness while still maintaining a link to your true form in the higher plane.
With a surge of determination, you mustered your energy and stood up again. You managed a few unsteady steps before crashing against the stone door. Sweat dripped down your forehead, and you panted, feeling the strain of physical exertion for the first time in ages.
Bracing yourself against the cool, solid surface of the door, you took a moment to catch your breath.
The temple was eerily silent, the only sounds being your labored breathing and the faint echo of distant memories.
You placed your hands on the old, heavy stone door, trying to push it open with every ounce of physical strength in your frail body. It was as if you were trying to move a mountain. Your muscles trembled with the effort, and despite your determination, the door remained stubbornly immobile.
Realizing the futility of brute force, you closed your eyes and placed your hand gently on the door. Focusing intently, you drew upon the small reservoir of power within you. A faint white light began to emanate from the palm of your hand, soft and ethereal. It tingled through your body, warm and invigorating, as if tiny sparks of energy danced beneath your skin.
Slowly, the heavy door began to open, not through physical effort, but as if invisible, imaginary threads were pulling it open from the other side. You could feel the ancient mechanisms responding to your power, groaning softly as they shifted. The door yielded, inch by inch, until it finally stood ajar, allowing a soft breeze to drift into the temple.
With wobbly legs, you walked outside and were greeted by a vast expanse of vibrant green stretching out before you. The sounds of birds chirping echoed in the distance, a symphony of life resonating through the forest. Your eyes widened with excitement as you hurriedly ventured deeper into the forest, mesmerized by its magical allure.
Each step you took landed on a bed of soft moss, the texture cushioning your feet like the most luxurious mattress. The sensation was soothing and delightful, a stark contrast to the hard stone of the temple.
Above, a canopy of trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves creating a symphony of whispers. Sunlight filtered through the branches, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow that danced around you in an enchanting display.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the earthy aroma of the forest floor. You took a deep breath, the freshness of the air invigorating you. The sounds of chirping birds and the distant babble of a stream created a soothing background melody, a gentle reminder of the life teeming around you.
Massive trees with trunks wide enough to house entire rooms rose majestically around you. Their leaves were an array of colors, from the deepest greens to shimmering golds, reflecting the sunlight in a magical display. The forest floor was dotted with flowers of every hue, some glowing faintly, adding to the breathtaking atmosphere.
You spun around in happiness, full of energy, as you took in the beautiful scenery. You had always gazed at the planets from afar, observing them and the mortals who inhabited them, but never being able to feel it, to live it. Now, you were here, a part of this vibrant world, experiencing its wonders firsthand.
Every moment in this new form felt like a gift, a chance to connect with the creation you had so lovingly crafted. The forest welcomed you with open arms, and for the first time in millennia, you felt truly alive.
As you ventured deeper into the forest, every flower, tree, and plant you passed seemed to bloom brighter and more lively than ever before. With each step you took, golden flowers blossomed in your trail, a testament to your presence.
You were filled with happiness, giggling in delight. 'So this is what feelings are like!' you thought.
In your true form, you had never experienced such sensations. Witnessing this firsthand was truly amazing! Creating a human body, a vessel capable of containing even a fraction of your essence, had been the most difficult part, especially after observing billions of humans from different planets and universes simultaneously.
Lost in the scenery, you suddenly tripped over a root and went rolling down a hill. "Woahh," you yelped, and before you realized it, you tumbled off a cliff.
The wind rushed past your face, your hair whipping wildly as you plummeted through the air. Time seemed to slow as you neared the water's surface, the crystal-clear lake shimmering beneath you.
You hit the water with a splash, the coldness enveloping you instantly. The shock of the cold water against your skin was invigorating, every nerve ending coming alive with the sensation. You sank momentarily, the water muffling all sound, creating a serene, otherworldly silence. The lake's clarity allowed you to see the sunbeams piercing through the water, creating dancing patterns of light.
As you resurfaced, you gasped for air, the coolness filling your lungs. You floated there for a moment, feeling the gentle sway of the water around you, the chill seeping into your bones but also refreshing you. The lake was a pristine, tranquil haven, the cold water a stark contrast to the warmth of the forest above.
You laughed, a joyous sound that echoed across the water. This was living, truly living, and the exhilaration of it all was beyond anything you had ever imagined. Every experience, every sensation, was a marvel, and you couldn't wait to see what other wonders this world had in store for you.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Alhaitham, the current scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya, strode through the dense forest, searching for a very ancient ruin unknown to ordinary people and even the scholars.
This might seem an odd and unnecessary task for a scribe, yet Alhaitham justified it as part of his duty to document rare and important findings.
In Sumeru, the role of a scribe involves more than just classifying and archiving documents. The scribe is a key figure with access to vast and profound knowledge.
Alhaitham fits this role perfectly, possessing information unknown to most, and often comparable to the Grand Conservator. His privileged access to ancient texts has made him a repository of wisdom.
The reason for his solitary search lay in an old relic he had discovered, written in an ancient language and not recorded in the Akasha system.
The relic spoke of a sacred ruin where the Divine Creator had left Teyvat and ascended to a higher plane. Driven by his scholarly curiosity and desire to understand the world's underlying principles, Alhaitham was compelled to verify the existence of this ruin.
As he ventured deeper into the forest of Sumeru, he noticed flowers and plants blooming with an unusual brightness. Intrigued, he followed the path marked by these vibrant plants.
His light turquoise eyes fell upon a pair of golden flowers, their petals shimmering in the sunlight. He blinked, thinking it was an illusion, but as he stepped closer and touched the flowers, they felt real, their golden hue dazzling in the sun's rays.
"Golden flowers bloom in the trail of the Divine Creator's steps," Alhaitham recalled the old tale.
He gazed back at the brightly bloomed flora and then at the golden flowers. As he connected the dots, a sense of wonder and realization washed over him.
This finding...
A bead of sweat trickled down his temple. His usually composed demeanor wavered, his heart pounding with the weight of this revelation.
The Divine Creator... has finally descended.
The significance of what lay before him was overwhelming. These golden flowers, blooming so vividly and impossibly in his path, could only mean one thing.
The legend was not just a myth; it was unfolding right before his eyes. The Creator, whose presence had been absent for millennia, had returned to Teyvat.
Alhaitham's mind raced with questions and possibilities. What could this mean for Teyvat? For its people and gods? He felt a profound sense of duty to document and understand this momentous event.
But beyond his scholarly curiosity, a deeper desire stirred within him. The golden flowers only bloomed in the Creator's steps.
If he could follow this trail, he might find the Creator themselves. The thought was both exhilarating and daunting. To meet the being who had crafted this world was a prospect beyond his wildest dreams.
As he pressed on, the golden flowers continued to guide him, their radiant glow a beacon of hope and discovery. The forest seemed to part before him, welcoming him deeper into its mystical embrace.
He was on the path of the Divine Creator, and he was determined to see where it led.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"You ask, what does the Creator look like?"
"Hahaha... my child, we do not know. According to the sacred texts, our Creator is shapeless or may take on different forms to our eyes. What is important is that all beings in Teyvat will recognize when our Creator has descended."
"You ask me how?"
"Oh, little Haitham, this is quite simple, especially for those who wield visions, for they will feel the presence unmistakably."

As the fire crackles and the rain continues to fall outside, you close your eyes, allowing yourself to drift into a restful sleep, your heart filled with hope and determination. The journey to uncover your past and discover your true identity has only just begun, and you are ready to embrace it, one step at a time.
The journey through the forest was both arduous and enlightening. Days melded into one another as Tighnari led you through the vast, dense woodland. The sun filtered through the towering trees, casting dappled patterns on the forest floor, while the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves provided a serene backdrop. Along the way, Tighnari shared his knowledge of the flora and fauna, teaching you about the medicinal properties of various plants and the habits of the forest's creatures.
One morning, as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the leafs above, Tighnari turned to you, his eyes filled with a mix of anticipation and relief. "We're nearing Gandharva Village. It's a place of respite and learning for the Forest Rangers, often referred to as 'The City Above the Forest.' It's an important outpost, frequented by travelers, merchants, and adventurers."
Your heart quickened at the prospect of finally reaching a place of relative civilization. The forest had been beautiful, but the constant uncertainty of your situation had left you yearning for some stability.
"City Above the Forest?" you echoed, curiosity piqued.
Tighnari nodded. "Yes. Gandharva Village is built on a series of platforms and walkways suspended above the forest floor. It's designed to blend harmoniously with the natural environment, minimizing our footprint and maintaining the delicate balance of the ecosystem."
As you walked, the forest began to change subtly. The trees grew even taller, their trunks thicker and more ancient. The air felt different, fresher somehow, as if you were ascending into a different realm. You passed by shimmering waterfalls and crossed crystal-clear streams, each sight more breathtaking than the last.
Tighnari paused occasionally to point out interesting plants or animal tracks, his passion for the natural world evident in every word. "This is a varuna tree," he explained at one point, gesturing to an enormous tree with roots that seemed to span across the forest. "Its sap is highly prized for its healing properties. The rangers often collect it for medical use."
You nodded, absorbing the information. "It's incredible how everything in the forest seems to have a purpose."
"Indeed," Tighnari agreed. "Nature is a masterful teacher, if only we take the time to listen."
As the sun climbed higher, you finally caught sight of Gandharva Village. True to Tighnari's description, it was a marvel of engineering and nature. Wooden platforms connected by rope bridges and ladders formed a network high above the ground, blending seamlessly with the surrounding trees. Lush greenery draped over the structures, and colorful flowers added vibrant splashes of color.
"Welcome to Gandharva Village," Tighnari said with a smile. "Let's head to my house. I want to conduct a thorough medical checkup to ensure you're alright."
You followed him across the swaying bridges, marveling at the ingenuity of the village's design. The air was filled with the scents of blooming flowers and the earthy aroma of the forest. Villagers greeted Tighnari warmly as you passed, their smiles reflecting the close-knit community spirit.
Arriving at Tighnari's house, you found it to be a cozy, well-kept dwelling, filled with books, herbs, and various scientific instruments. He gestured for you to sit on a comfortable chair by a large window that offered a stunning view of the forest canopy.
"Let's see," Tighnari began, retrieving a medical kit. "I'll check your vitals first."
You nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and nervousness. As he worked, his touch was gentle but precise, his eyes focused and attentive. The sense of care he exuded was reassuring.
As he examined you, Tighnari continued to share more about the village. "Gandharva Village serves as the main hub for the Forest Rangers. We monitor the forest, ensuring its health and safety. It's also a place where travelers can rest and resupply. The community here is diverse, with people from all walks of life coming together to protect and learn from the forest."
You listened intently, feeling a growing sense of connection to this place. "It sounds like a wonderful community. I can see why you love it here."
Tighnari smiled warmly. "It is. The forest is our lifeblood, and we do our best to live in harmony with it. Speaking of which, your readings are normal, but you need to stay warm and dry to avoid falling ill."
Before you could respond, the door to the house burst open, and a young girl with green hair and a sturdy looking bow rushed in. "Master Tighnari! You're back!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with relief. "I was so worried..."
Tighnari looked up, a mixture of surprise and warmth in his eyes. He fixes his clothing and walked over to her "Collei, it's good to see you. I didn't mean to worry you. We had an unexpected journey."
Collei's gaze shifted to you, her curiosity evident. "Who's this? Are you alright?"
You offered a small smile. "I'm fine, thank you. Tighnari has been taking good care of me."
Tighnari placed a reassuring hand on Collei's shoulder. "This is our guest. They've had a rough time but are safe now. Collei, can you help prepare some hot tea? It'll help them warm up."
Collei nodded eagerly. "Of course, Master." She hurried to the kitchen area, her movements quick and efficient.
As you sat there, enveloped in the warmth of the blanket and the kindness of your new companions, a sense of belonging began to take root. The journey ahead was still uncertain, but for the first time since you woke up in the forest, you felt a glimmer of hope.
Tighnari's house, with its mix of natural elements and scientific tools, seemed to reflect his dual nature as both a guardian of the forest and a seeker of knowledge. The walls were adorned with botanical drawings, and shelves were lined with jars of herbs and curious specimens.
"Tighnari," you began, feeling a need to understand more, "It must be incredible to live in a world where such beings as gods and elements exist."
"It is," Tighnari agreed. "But it's also a responsibility. Those who receive visions often feel a duty to use their powers for the greater good."
Before you could ask more, Collei returned with a steaming pot of tea and cups. She poured the tea with practiced ease, and the fragrant steam filled the room, adding to the cozy atmosphere.
"Here you go," she said, handing you a cup. "This should help warm you up."
You took the cup gratefully, feeling the warmth spread through your hands. "Thank you, Collei."
As you sipped the tea, its soothing warmth spreading through you, you realized that despite the mysteries surrounding your past, you had found a place where you could begin to seek answers. Gandharva Village, with its unique blend of nature and community, felt like a stepping stone on your journey of self-discovery.
Tighnari leaned back, his gaze thoughtful. "Rest for now. We can talk more in the morning. There’s much for you to learn about Teyvat, and perhaps we can uncover more about your past as we go."
You nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude and anticipation. "Thank you, Tighnari. And you too, Collei. I don't know what lies ahead, but I'm glad to have met you both."
With that, you settled into the warmth of the blanket, the fire crackling softly nearby, and the gentle murmur of the forest outside. The rain continued to fall, but within Tighnari's home, you felt safe and hopeful. The journey to uncover your true identity had begun in earnest, and with the support of your new friends, you felt ready to face whatever lay ahead.
As you drift into a deep, much-needed sleep, Tighnari and Collei moved to a corner of the room, their voices hushed but urgent. Tighnari’s sharp ears twitched slightly, always alert even in the safety of his home. He glanced over at the sleeping figure, then turned his attention back to Collei.
"Master, what happened out there? Who is this person?" Collei asked, her green eyes wide with curiosity and concern.
Tighnari sighed, running a hand through his dark green hair, his fennec ears flicking with agitation. "It's a long story, Collei. I found them wandering in the forest, disoriented and with no memory of who they are or how they got there. But there's more to it than just amnesia."
Collei tilted her head, her fox-like ears twitching in interest. "More? Like what?"
Tighnari leaned in closer, his voice lowering to a whisper. "The forest itself seemed to react to them. Flowers bloomed in their presence, and the trees seemed to bend to offer protection. It's as if the forest was… welcoming them."
Collei's eyes widened even further. "Welcoming them? But that's… I've never heard of such a thing happening."
"Neither have I," Tighnari admitted. "But that's not all. They don't smell like a normal human. In fact, they don't have any scent at all, which is highly unusual. Every living being has a scent, but they don't. It's like they exist outside the natural order of things."
Collei frowned, trying to process the information. "Do you think they could be… a god? Or some other non-human creature?"
Tighnari sighed again, his expression thoughtful. "It's possible. Their presence feels different, almost otherworldly. There's a calmness and a sense of belonging that I can't quite explain. It's like they are part of the forest in a way that goes beyond mere human understanding."
Collei hesitated, then spoke up. "I remember an old tale I heard as a child, a legend about the Creator. It was said that the Creator would one day return to Teyvat, bringing harmony and balance to the world. Could it be possible that…"
Tighnari's eyes widened slightly. "The Creator? It's a tale I've heard too, but always dismissed as myth. Yet, the signs… they can't be ignored."
Collei nodded slowly, her mind racing. "If they truly are the Creator, or even something close to that, it could explain why the forest reacted the way it did. The forest, the plants, even the animals – they all recognized them."
Tighnari looked back at the sleeping figure, his expression softening. "If that's true, then their presence here could have far-reaching implications. We need to keep them safe and help them recover their memories. Only then can we understand their true purpose and what it means for Teyvat."
Collei agreed, her determination matching Tighnari's. "We'll do everything we can to protect them and help them find out who they are. This could be the start of something incredible."
Tighnari smiled, careful not to touch her, knowing how much she disliked physical contact. "Thank you, Collei. Your support means a lot. For now, let's focus on keeping them safe and comfortable. We'll figure out the rest as we go."
They both turned their attention back to the sleeping figure, their minds filled with questions and possibilities. The journey ahead was uncertain, but with the bond they shared and the resolve they held, they felt ready to face whatever challenges lay in wait.
Tighnari then spoke again, a new idea forming in his mind. "Collei, there is someone who might be able to help us. The Dendro Archon, the God of Wisdom. She has knowledge beyond our understanding. If anyone can provide answers, it's her."
Collei's eyes lit up with hope. "The Dendro Archon? Yes, she would surely know what to do. We should take them to her."
Tighnari nodded. "It's settled then. Tomorrow, we'll prepare for the journey to meet the Dendro Archon. Let's hope she can shed some light on this mystery."
---
The sun rose gently over Gandharva Village, casting a warm glow over the intricate network of platforms and bridges. The village was already bustling with activity as Forest Rangers went about their duties, preparing for another day of safeguarding the forest.
Inside Tighnari's home the air was filled with the scent of fresh herbs and flowers. You stirred from your sleep, blinking slowly as you adjusted to the morning light streaming through the windows.
Tighnari and Collei were already up, speaking quietly near the door. They turned as the reader awoke, their expressions softening with concern.
"Good morning," Tighnari greeted with a warm smile. "How are you feeling?"
"A bit better," you reply, still feeling the lingering warmth of the blankets. "Thank you for everything."
"You're welcome," Collei said, her voice gentle. "We're here to help you."
As they prepared for the day, you couldn't shake the feeling of being part of something much larger. The forest, the village, and the people around them all seemed to resonate with a sense of purpose and connection.
Tighnari's words from the previous night echoed in your mind. The journey to uncover your true identity was just beginning, and with the support of your new friends, they felt ready to face whatever lay ahead. The path forward was uncertain, but it was also filled with hope and the promise of discovery.

Fate’s Destiny ~ Chapter 12 || It's canon!
You somehow, not being able to explain it, had fallen into the Genshin world you know oh-so-well. You were no new player and had explored most of the nooks and crannies of the world. When you first had woken up in Windrise you wondered; it might be a dream, after all, you were behind your screen usually, and now- here? It made no sense, and the world was keen on keeping it that way.

The conversation you had with Dainsleif last night left you feeling like he understood you better than any stranger should. It was as if he had anticipated finding the Creator, as if he was familiar with the aura and thus unsurprised when it led him to you. However, that wasn’t the most concerning thing about the situation. The juxtaposition of what follows has been plaguing your mind the entire morning.
Despite never mentioning it in the company of Lumine and Paimon, Dainsleif seemed to doubt your status as the Creator. It wouldn’t have been unusual, if not for the fact that he felt your aura.
Up to this point, there was a clear division between the people who felt your aura and the ones who didn’t. The former had always been insistent on your identity. They never doubted you for one reason: the fact that they experienced this unknown feeling around you. You couldn’t explain it since you didn’t have any control over the aura, that much was obvious with the fact that seemingly at random some people experience it and others don't, but it felt terrifying to have an anomaly in this formula.
Why did Dainsleif not believe in the Creator?
The more you look back on your interactions with Dainsleif, the more you are led back to your initial conflict: who is the Creator?
Moreover, you wonder why you believe his convictions over your own.
Lumine turns her head over her shoulder. “What’s your opinion about it?”
“Huh?” You pull yourself out of your daydream with a forceful blink. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”
You gaze at Lumine. Paimon hovering at her side. The three of you are currently waiting in a small clearing on the side of the main road. Conversations from passing strangers echo in the background. They are accompanied by the sounds of galloping horses and carriages being pulled along. The sun hadn’t been up for an hour before your party had set out but somehow you were unable to avoid the now gathering crowds.
At this moment, you were waiting for Dainsleif to return. While Lumine insisted on staying at your side, he had offered to scout ahead. He’d keep an eye open for suspicious people on the road and potential shortcuts to use. He’d also be able to estimate when the crowds would get thicker and could warn you ahead of time so you’d be better prepared.
Paimon holds her hands close to her chest, a clear sign of her worry. “Are you okay? Paimon thinks you seem a bit out of it.”
You force a smile. “Don’t worry about me. I was just thinking.”
“If you say so.” Paimon turns her worried frown upside down and places her hands on her hips. “Lumine was asking if you were alright with travelling on the main roads. Even with Dainsleif scouting ahead of us, it’ll likely get more crowded the closer we’ll get to Wangshu inn.”
Lumine adds, “We’ll keep you safe regardless, but I understand if you want to take a different route.”
You think about the last time you visited Wangshu inn. It had also been with Lumine and Paimon, the only difference being that you came from Mt. Aocang and thus barely met anyone on the road to and from.
More about your last visit, despite feeling like you’re missing something important, you can’t remember.
Before you can answer, Dainsleif walks up to your group. He nods his head when you acknowledge him and then starts talking. “The roads are beginning to get busy. We should head out.”
“Oooo. Paimon wonders if we’ll arrive today.” She kicks her legs in the air excitedly. It had only been a few days since you departed from Wangshu Inn but she undoubtedly was missing a soft bed to sleep in. You did too.
Dainsleif crosses his arms. “If we make haste, we will arrive before sundown. Many people are currently travelling through Liyue Harbor for the upcoming Creator Fest, so we should remain unnoticed since everyone is focusing on their own business.”
You lift an eyebrow. “Creator Fest?”
“Hm.” Dainsleif closes his eyes and ponders to himself for a moment. “Though the name is self explanatory, it is a festival held to celebrate the creator. From my understanding, the festival is held once every five years.”
Paimon looks from Dainsleif to Lumine with a confused expression. When she sees the outlander mirror the same confusion, she fiercely disagrees. “Lumine and Paimon saw the preparations in Liyue Harbor. There, they said it was held every year.” She lifts a finger in the air and waves it around all-knowingly. “Paimon remembered it well because they had many stories of the festivals from last year.”
You turn your gaze to Dainsleif. He doesn’t seem confused, nor does he try to refute her claim and explain his. After Paimon rambles for a bit longer, he simply agrees and states he must have mixed up certain festivals.
While Paimon gloats in her victory, Lumine’s scepticism doesn’t escape your eye. Just like you, she seems on edge. Until that, too, disappears.
“We should head out.” Lumine states.
Paimon throws her fist in the air. “I can’t wait to eat some of that delicious food we had last time!”
With your cloak pulled over your face, your expression remains hidden to even your companions. A frown is settled on your face when you recall that the festival Liyue had been preparing for was meant for the resurrection of Zh…
What was their name?
The morning continues to pass by in a hurry. As you persist your journey forward, Wangshu inn becomes a more prominent sight in your vision, growing taller the closer you get.
In the end, Dainsleif’s words had proven to be correct. Many carriages that passed by were loaded with decorations, many of which seemed to fit Liyue’s colours but had the same details and signs as the books with your face on it.
And when you and your companions fell into a comfortable pace, conversations started to follow.
One of the more interesting topics spoken about involved the anemo Archon. According to the other three, he currently goes by the name ‘Venti’. You knew that Lumine and Paimon met him during their heroic deeds in Mondstadt, but when you asked Dainsleif about the Archon, he answered with: ”I know everything that I should.” —a vague yet seemingly in-character answer.
However, that is not where the conversation ended. Instead you were dragged into an open discussion about the options you had, including Dainsleif’s personal thoughts on the Archons.
He told both you and the other two, not to trust anything. Which was funny, considering he decided to travel with the Creator.
You would’ve believed it to be a strange paradox if it hadn’t been for the conversation you had with him last night.
Dainsleif walks in front of everyone. Always one step ahead. He doesn’t turn his head when he talks, but you know he is invested in the current topic. “I am merely suggesting that the Archons do not have the ability to answer all your questions. You should know this better than anyone, Lumine.”
She gives him a pointed look. Paimon answers for her. “Well, Paimon isn’t hearing any better suggestions from you. Besides, Paimon thinks it’s better than sitting around and doing nothing.”
The pixie adds, “Besides, the tone deaf bard might look like he doesn’t care, but Paimon thinks he knows more than he lets on. Who knows? Maybe he can give us a push into the right direction.”
“I highly doubt it. Many times before, he failed to. I can't imagine why this time would be different at all.”
Paimon visibly deflates. “Geez. Are you always so pessimistic?”
“I prefer to call it realistic.” He corrects.
Before the two can continue with their bickering, the gnosis in your pocket starts to rumble. Struck by surprise, you halt your movement.
As you nimbly reach for the object, the others turn to stop as well. Dainsleif is the first to guess why.
“The gnosis.”
“Yes.” You wrap your fingers around it and furrow your eyebrows together. Confused at why it started to rumble, you look up at him. “I thought it was broken.”
“It might as well be.” He replies despondently.
Lumine crosses her arms as she presses her lips in a thin line. She thinks for a moment, and then asks, “Is it glowing again?”
The object is firmly within your hold. As your grasp tightens, it hums in approval.
Because you’ve been travelling through the main roads towards Wangshu Inn, your sudden stop has caused an unintentional roadblock for other passerbys. The majority of the people and carriages go around you, but the longer you stand still, the more the people stop and stare.
They’re getting aware of your presence.
From within your pocket, your fingers continue to be tightly wrapped around the gnosis. When you peek inside, you notice that you can’t see a visible glow emitting from it. While you can’t confirm if it lost its light entirely without revealing it to everyone walking on the roads, the constant vibrations from the object and the ground below was enough to confirm that it came back to life.
At last, you reply. “I’m not sure about the glow but it’s pulsating geo energy.”
“Paimon thinks that’s a good sign, right?” The pixie holds up her hands to her chest expectantly as she looks around at the different faces in your party.
Dainsleif grunts. “It’s hard to deduct any use of it when we don’t know what the gnoses can do.” He turns to face you. “The geo Archon has told you that it’d help ‘the creator’ regain their past memories. Think about it. Which part of his promise was wrong in the first place?”
You think back to the many days of trying to uncover the gnosis’s secrets without prevailing. In the end, the geo Archon couldn’t help you either. Their promise of helping you with your memories remains, but you’d have to wait for the Archon and the Adepti.
When you find your answer, you create a new question. “Are you saying that the gnoses never held memories?”
“Not yours, at least.” Dainsleif answers.
Lumine cuts in. “That’s why we’re going to Mondstadt. Aside from the gnosis losing its power, it never responded to anything Y/n did either.”
“Yeah! Paimon agrees with that. Rex Lapis seemed to be unsure after our last visit too.” She waves her hands in the air. “What if the gnosis has yet to recognise the aura?”
Your eyes light up. “That’s a great idea, Paimon!”
With the gnosis constantly pulsing out geo energy, you probably needed to do the same before it could resonate with you. Perhaps you should’ve asked the geo Archon how they used the gnosis instead of continuing to ask about your memories.
In the worst case, you could still ask the anemo Archon. If you have any luck, they’d recognise your aura like the geo Archon did, making it easier to ask for help and confirming your identity.
A scream erupts from a woman on the other side of the road. Her hands reach up to her mouth, eyes wide as her previous relaxed face turns into one of horror. When you first hear it, you let go of the gnosis and reach for your hood to pull it down more, afraid that you have been discovered.
Then, another one follows. The person next to her cries out terrified. You take a step closer to your companions this time.
You hear a weapon being unsheathed close to you. When you turn to the sound, you see Lumine at a ready stance to combat. And it continues. Another scream echoes through the crowd and when you finally look at the people, they’re facing away with their hands held together in suspense.
If there is one thing you regret doing, it is standing motionless amongst them.
Horses are forced at standstill and carriages stop in place. The previous laughter of children travelling alongside their parents are quieted and replaced by hushed voices. And because so many people had been travelling from and to Liyue Harbor, you feel like the entire nation can see this sight in front of them.
A huge wave reaches the tips of the largest mountains. It seems to be reaching for Liyue Harbor, until you see flashes of light shoot from a place you visited once before.
The Jade Chamber,
You watch the lights of the once glorious floating palace flicker on and off. You hold your breath as you watch a battle between the ocean and the people of Liyue Harbor play out at a far distance. There is no way of knowing what is going on, until the sea calms down.
Before the waves lay upon the water, a few people have already begun to celebrate. Cheers slowly become louder and praise to the geo Archon is spread around before a loud rumbling emits from far away. This time, you realise it is not the gnosis putting out geo energy. And yet, it responds to the wave by tugging you forward.
With the crowd stunned, it takes everyone a second to realise victory came with a precious cost.
The Jade chamber tilts from side to side, as if it’s trying to regain its balance in a struggle against gravity. As the gnosis continues to pull more and more, you realise what’s happening before the crowd does.
A few more elemental flashes of light dash around the Jade Chamber, and perhaps because you’re looking at it from a grand distance, you notice it has been falling down.
When the chamber hits the midway point between its original position and the horizon, you see chunks of the building let loose. Some parts fall faster, while others cling on to the gravity defying magic they previously had. But before any part can reach the ground, it disappears from sight behind a set of mountains.
The crowd is silent. You can only hear the winds blow against your face as you wait for the conclusion of the events.
Then, a second low thud echoes through the city. It travels across the roads and the crowds try to protect themselves against the sudden soundwave. In the distance, from behind the mountains where it fell, dense smoke from the crash fumes up.
“What happened?”
“The Jade Chamber!”
And faster than the Jade Chamber could fall, chaos erupts on the roads to Wangshu Inn.
People from behind and in front of you are trying to decide whether to turn back or to reach their loved ones in Liyue Harbor. Murmurs of uncertainty deafen your thoughts as you reach for the gnosis. With trembling fingers you take it out of your pocket, just to take a quick look.
It radiates a dim orange hue.
Paimon calls out for you as a carriage rides to crash into you. The horse pulling it seems to be out of control when it stops and stands on its hind legs, squealing if not screaming when the people crisscross in front of it.
Dainsleif ends up being the one to save you in that scenario. He is swift when he moves between the people and pulls you away right before the hind legs of the horse move down and crash at the place you had been standing in.
“We need to get out.” He yells to Lumine. “This isn’t going to get better, even if we get to Wangshu Inn.”
Lumine hurries over to you with Paimon at her side. She has put her sword back in its holder but seems to be alert nonetheless. “We should head back to Liyue and find out what happened.”
“Have you lost your mind?” Dainsleif shakes his head. He lets out a breathy chuckle. “You intend to go back in these conditions. Can you not see the outcome of that decision?”
A few people push past you and your companions. Luckily due to both Lumine and Dainsleif’s efforts you are able to keep your group of four united. With the chaos surrounding you, you hadn’t noticed you held the gnosis in your hands, visible in sight to any who would stop and look.
Lucky for you. Not a single person had the time to consider standing still. Dainsleif seems to follow your gaze and you open your hands for him to see. For the first time since obtaining it, the object floats in your hold.
Like a miracle, it seems to have recovered all its past potency in an attempt to guide you forward. Deep hums echo from within the gnosis, singing an unknown melody as a path opens up from where you’re standing to Liyue Harbor. Unknownst to the people in the crowd, they make way for you and your party.
You reach up and intertwine your hold together with the invisible hold of the gnosis. A determined expression forms on your face when you look up. “It’s telling us to head to Liyue Harbor.”
Paimon kicks her feet in the air. “You’ve finally unlocked the powers!”
Lumine stands ready. “If we head out now, we can make it before the sun sets.”
A cynical laugh escapes from Dainsleif’s lips. “Have you forgotten how long it took you to get to Wangshu Inn?”
The outlander turns to him. “What do you mean? We all headed out this morning. If we make haste, we can easily return to Liyue Harbor before nightfall.”
With the gnosis in hand you look up at Dainsleif. A silent question lingers in your eyes and he shakes his head before you can ask him the question.
“If you intending on returning to Liyue Harbor, it will be the last time you’ll see me.”
Paimon throws her fist against his shoulder. Even with all her strength, he remains unchanged—safe for the frown that deepens. “Oh come on! Paimon knows you want to save everyone. That’s why you helped us with the Adepti last time.”
He turns back at you. You feel like there are so many things left unsaid but he simply turns and walks away. In the end, he didn’t give you a chance to ask him why he chose to leave.
A hand is placed on your shoulder. When you look over towards the person who put it there, you see a resolute smile on Lumine’s face. Next to her flies the pixie. “It’ll be alright. You’ve got me and Paimon.”
Her white-haired companion agrees as she throws her first into the air.
You knew that the journey ahead of you would remain with many more questions left unanswered so you simply held onto the few things you could trust in.
The gnosis agrees with you and a path forms once more.
You run towards your destiny, followed by Lumine and Paimon at your side.

Despite Yeowoon asking all the right questions directly, Myungha couldn’t say what needed to be said, and chose to break up. We left with Myungha falling into the abyss as the world unwound before him.
Did Myungha erase himself from Yeowoon’s memory? I’m glad his friendships are intact, but it seems like he’s experiencing echoes of Myungha.
Episode 8: Answers
Wait, why does the brand lady remember Tae Myungha?
Oh, this is upsetting. Only the brand lady and Yeowoon remember Myungha. Even his grandmother doesn’t remember.
He wrote “Please make Cha Yeowoon happy” and then he vanished. I get his panic now.
Wait, is Cha Yeowoon a PC now?
Wait, was the brand owner Myungha’s ex in the main world?
Oh no…. Tae Myungha went to see his mom before and she had started a new family and refused to see him.
I approve of the letterboxing to let us know we’re seeing the history from the physical world.
This is putting me in my Sea, Swallow Me and Other Stories by Craig Laurance Gidney feelings.
Wow. I have a lot of thoughts about this writer creating a story because he loved his friend he missed so much that he wanted to give him a second life in a game where you help him see that he is loved and that he can choose to live. “Write me a poem to make me happy.”
ARE THEY IN DIFFERENT REALITIES? WHAT THE HELL??
He’s going to find his favorite person!!! 😭
Oh, romance, never stop hitting me with lens flares to show that the love is bursting.
Yes, let’s continue those kissing lessons.
Whoa, he’s wearing pink now.
Okay, seeing them make out by the sea and then play in it with their friends after that reveal about Myungha just sent me over the edge.
Final Verdict: 9, Highly Recommended. This final episode went to some really dark places, but this is the kind of queer media that I secretly love the most. I’ve written about how grief is a big part of my experience before, and how much Eternal Yesterday helped me cope with feelings that had been in me for 15 years. I think there’s something beautiful in the melancholy of the writer who is grieving their friend in their work. The thing about the fact that everyone dies, is that those who loved us will remember us and they will miss us. A version of us continues to live on in them. When we lose someone tragically, there is a need to process those feelings, and I appreciate the desire of a writer to immortalize their friend in a story where they recognize and receive the love they wished for in life.
I love that there’s a component of death of the author here, where Myungha wants to know who he is and why he wrote things like this, because I wonder if the writer infused some of the writings Myungha gave in life since we recognized Myungha’s handwriting in the missions. He’s trying to give Myungha what he wrote that he wanted and what he wrote about love. I love that we don’t exactly what the creator’s relationship is with Myungha, but the gay in me calls to the gay in him and says that he loved his junior in Myungha the way Myungha maybe connected to in Yeowoon. I like to think that he wrote Cha Yeowoon based on how he saw Myungha, and a part of him wanted to see Myungha happy. Perhaps he felt he couldn’t give that to Myungha in life for various reasons.
I loved the game mechanics so much. I loved the side quests. I loved it because it didn’t work all the time. I know I link Shane Koyczan a lot when I’m being especially emo around here, but it’s like his poem Stop Signs where he’s desperate to connect with his crush and he’s trying everything he can think of to reach them. What it does force to recognize is what’s important. All the running around and trying to get all of these things is about taking care of the person he likes. Earning the money forced him to work at something without just receiving it from someone else. Getting Yeowoon friends made both of their lives better, and they found the other gays! I loved the debuff mechanic because it makes you pay attention to the world around them and approach situations with caution.
This show was beautiful. I haven’t seen an It Gets Better project that hit the right way for me in so long. I like that this show kinda snuck up on us with the darkness. There have been so many high profile celebrity deaths in Korea in the last few years, and there’s gotta be so many more of regular people that we don’t even know. I really love that this story is about loving lonely boys and asks the audience not to give up. I love the notion that loving someone else is a pathway to learning to love yourself. You can love for the sake of love itself. This show surprised the hell out of me, but this is going to be one of the shows I think sticks with me from this year.

The room was silent, something you had grown used to, having visited the extremely busy idols’ dorms frequently enough to not be surprised by now. Nothing really interested you on the TV; the dramas you usually binge-watched were replays of old episodes you’d already seen several times, and the documentaries that usually interested you just weren’t hitting the spot for some reason.
So you sat on their spacious sofa, well, more like laid on it, your back much more happy that way, and simply scrolled on your phone. A few short videos here -after having watched all recent videos of the content creators you subscribed to-, a few minutes of scrolling on your news feeds on several apps there.
The flow of time kept slipping from your grasp without your notice, as if you were trying to capture sand within your bare fingers.
A ringing sound broke you out of your mindless scrolling, bored eyes looking at the top of your phone to see someone calling: it was your mom. Not wanting to lose your head for not answering, but also wondering why she had called so suddenly, you immediately picked up, device closely pressed to your ear in search of an answer.
Oh, how you wished your hearing was wrong, that this call was just a hallucination your bored mind made up to morbidly entertain itself.
Not a single muscle in your body moved, the device still clutched in your grasp, knuckles no doubt turning white from the force, even after the call had ended long ago. The words you had heard echoed in your mind cruelly, not showing any signs of leaving.
And yet, you felt weirdly calm. No, empty would be a more fitting word.
Whereas you should have been crying, sobbing, screaming in despair or anger, you did nothing. Not even a gasp of surprise left through your open lips, only the guilt of not feeling any of those settled over you, like a chain of sin grasping onto your skin.
You felt broken, as if you weren’t functioning properly, something that only added to the weight, keeping you down.
Steps could be heard from nearby, their goal obviously you, based on their only strengthening volume. Were the boys back? But when? You didn’t hear them outside the door, something that should have been nearly impossible, with how loud they usually got, playing around with each other with no restraint.
Your name was called quietly from above, making you turn your head and look at Chan, his gaze immediately turning soft, as if he had sensed what had happened.
Not even a second later he was by your side, gently asking you to sit up, only to take you into his warm embrace and lock you in place, arms not intending to move anytime soon. You instinctually melted into his hold, his chest holding you up safely, something you trusted him to do after knowing him for so long.
“What happened?” - he asked, voice so sweet you nearly shattered from it.
You knew he only meant good, of course he did, he was Chan after all. Even so, no words left your lips, your eyes remaining dry, chest feeling empty and void of anything, only the guilt having long nestled itself in there. So, you could only shake your head and shrug your shoulders, turning around in his arms and burying your head into his neck.
Hiding away seemed to be your best choice at that moment, something you were correct about as another person joined you two, his warm hand gliding across the expanse of your back reassuringly.
You could feel Chan shaking his head above you, a few strands of your hair gently moving around from the movement.
“Maybe our yeobo here had gotten tired from waiting for us all day long, hm?” - it was Hyunjin, voice impossibly close to you.
Not wanting to cause them needless worry, you nodded into the older’s skin, a little chuckle leaving them at that, calling you cute. Still, Chan’s hold on you tightened, as if he somehow knew you were lying.
A question popped into your head, one that would hopefully distract them from trying to interrogate you and dig down to the core of the problem.
“Where are the others?” - you asked, proud of how you sounded like your usual self. “Mh, well, Changbin and Sungie are working on their duo song, but they should be wrapping up pretty soon, since they had been really excited about our planned movie night.” - Chan answered, his chest rumbling soothingly. “Minho hyung is helping Lixie with a tricky move, although they should arrive any minute now, since they sent me back saying they were about to be done and I wasn’t needed there anymore. Minnie and Innie had actually come up with us, they just went to their dorm to get ready for staying the night here. They didn’t want to hear you whining about sweaty hugs again.” - Hyunjin chuckled, making me shoot out of my hiding place with a force. “That’s gross, of course I wouldn’t want that! You guys keep whining about it at practice too, you hypocrite!”
Chan only laughed at the dramatically gross expressions Hyunjin kept making from the mere thought of hugging while being at practice, making you laugh along with him. You had temporarily forgotten about that phone call, your worries erased along with most of your guilt, only laughter and joy remaining in its place, something that had always been the case whenever you hung out with these men.
One by one the others arrived as well, the place turning lively and loud, but loud in the good way, the way that made everything feel cosy and like home. You relished in it, soaking in it like a cat laying in a sunny spot, your dark fur turning warm to the touch.
Not a single thought about that phone call crossed your mind, or about how you were supposed to feel, the scene of Felix being smothered by Changbin’s much more muscular form way funnier in your eyes. Minho magically whipped out a tissue from somewhere, turning to a scared Hyunjin with a threatening smirk. Jisung laughed at him, only to be the next to be threatened, forcing the quokka and the weasel to run away together. Those who remained seated calmly with you loudly enjoyed it, Seungmin’s laughter being the loudest in your ears since he had decided to steal you away for a cuddle session, and who were you to say no to that.
Then, your phone rang once again, stealing everyone’s attention, yours included.
It was your sibling, making dread run down your spine, knowing fully well they would never call unless it was something serious, the two of you usually only chatting, much more comfortable with that.
No one uttered a word around you as you sat there, your form unbeknownst to you turning more and more rigid with every word uttered through the device in your hands. Unseeing eyes stared ahead, air stuck in the organ they should have left long ago, refusing to budge even an inch.
After some time, a few minutes or half an hour, you had no idea, the call ended, much like the previous one. Curious pairs of eyes were set on you, although most of them were paired with creased foreheads and furrowed eyebrows, worry clearly written on their faces.
The silent question was eventually asked by Felix, the bravest one to break the heavy atmosphere.
Words spilled out of your mouth eventually, uncertain and shaky, much too quiet for the boys’ comfort. They formed dreadful sentences, ones that talked about how not only your sibling’s pet you adored so much needed a surgery, or in the worst case scenario, that little fluff ball wasn’t even saveable and needed to be put down. By the time you had reached the part about your beloved parent, who was diagnosed with cancer and similarly to the little pet was in need of a surgery, your lips were wobbly, fat tears rolling down your eyes and carving their way down your cheeks, falling into your clothing and making it uncomfortably cling to your skin.
Everything broke inside you, all those feelings you felt like you needed to feel hours ago now rampaging inside your poor body, destroying it from the inside.
Nothing felt fair, as if the universe specifically had chosen you and your family to suffer with the way things had been going lately, these two horrible news only adding to it considerably.
“Hey, baby, can you listen to my voice? Let it all out, just breathe with me, mkay?” - Chan’s deep whisper reached your ears, his strong arms wrapped around you once again, replacing his younger member’s gentle hold.
His presence merely caused the dams to break more, something you thought was impossible, yet it happened all the same. Through extremely blurry vision you spotted the one you sought after, arms raised and hands making grabby motions towards his direction. That was all he needed to understand your silent request, the quokka settling into your hold and hugging you from the front, not caring how you buried your head into the crook of his neck and dirtied his clothes with snot and tears, or even the dangerously tight hold you had on his clothes, the fabric on the verge of tearing apart.
He merely held you as you sobbed there, joining Chan’s little hums, the two knowing how much it usually calmed you down.
And as you were sandwiched between the two, letting your sorrows out, the others gathered around and held onto any body part they could, even if it was only your pinky. They all held onto you tightly with no exception, Hyunjin and Changbin wiping your tears away gently once you had lifted your head up, even though their faces were just as wet, empathy running through them with a vicious force.
The others weren’t better off, the aussies and Jisung openly crying along with you, while Innie sat besides you with teary eyes. And while Minho and Seungmin weren’t on the verge of tears, you knew that didn’t mean they didn’t care. No, of course not, otherwise the glass of water and your favourite snack that were pressed into your hands gently, yet firmly, would mean nothing.
Even after hours of just staying there, of just listening to them gently talk to you, you remained silently in your place, the warmth that enveloped you from all directions much too precious and comfortable to pass up.
Maybe you would be fine, you kept telling yourself, the little voice of hope agreeing inside your muddled mind.

The Palace of Alcazarzaray had a new resident. A resident that no one would have ever thought Lord Sangemah Bay would even allow.
That resident, you ask?
You! A Sumpter Beast.
People of The Palace had not been expecting to see their Lord riding atop your shaggy form. You had a large hawdaj on your back that could accommodate three people of Dori’s size - which meant only one full grown person could fit. And by full grown, you mean a shorter full grown person.
Golden hoops shined on your ears and your fur was shined and brushed throughly. You looked better taken care of than the majority of the people of Sumeru.
You quietly walked into the pavilion and sat down, allowing the girl to climb down. Taking about few packs and bags off your back and began setting up shop.
People walking past watched in wonder as you helped unroll rugs and place merchandise. You were exceptionally gentle with everything.
And when everything was set up, you settled down on a rug. Dori was quick to follow, sitting in front of you and laying her head on your side.
She even slipped some greens your way which you happily munched on.
“Um.. Lord Sangemah Bay?” A passing merchant who had witnessed all of this hesitantly took a step towards the girl, making her look up.
“Yeah?” She asked, flicking a single mora between her fingers. Feeing her attention wasn’t fully on him, he sighed before steeling his nerves.
“… Why would you keep a most likely flee ridden beast such as-“ He couldn’t even finish his sentence before the most offended gasp he had ever heard left the small girl before him.
His words were apparently so egregious that she had dropped the more she had been playing with.
That was not a good sign.
She stood up in a huff, Electro swirling around her. You didn’t even bother looking up, choosing to continue munching on your plants.
She stalked over to the now shivering merchant, before stoping in front of him. The amount of Electro swirling off her provided a blinding purple light the engulfed to surrounding area.
“The only “flee ridden beast” I see around here is you. Now SCRAM! YOU’RE BANNED FROM TRADING WITH ME EVER. AGAIN!” She slammed her foot on the ground, causing a strike of Electro energy to zap right next to the man, causing him to squeal like a pig before running out. She made sure to actually zap him on the ass as he left, making him scream like a little girl.
She grunted before turning to the others who were watching in fear.
“Anyone ELSE got a PROBLEM with my new partner?” She asked. And was immediately met with echos of ‘no’ and ‘absolutely not’.
“Good.” She mused before walking back over to you, calming her Electro so as to not shock you. Sitting back down she leaned into your form and was met with a low rumble from your form.
She ran a hand through your fur and sighed, calming down.
“What would I do without you, صانع المال أول’ الكبير.” She sighed into your side before sitting up straight, ready to make her daily quota.
໒꒰ྀི˶˙Ⱉ˙˶꒱ྀིა Author’s note : Just a bid ole’ guy who wants to live peacefully. And with Dori’s help, they can! Imagine all the nice soft stuff she can buy… or the self care products… hehe getting pampered by Dori sounds so nice right now…

Andy wipes a fleck of lettuce from his tie as you walk along. He’s pretty calm despite being assaulted. You’re still rattled, a jittery pulse flowing through you. You hug yourself as you head up toward the office building.
“You okay?” He asks, yet again.
“Coming down,” you assure him with an exhale, “I’m so sorry about that–”
“I told you, you don’t need to apologise for that guy,” he insists, “he’s nuts.”
“Uh, yeah,” you sniff as you slow, glancing further up the street towards the bus stop.
“I’m just happy I was there,” Andy says, “seems like he was on a mission. I hate to think what would have happened if you were alone.”
“Mmhmm,” you hum and shudder at the thought.
You can’t help but feel guilty. If you’d just answered Curtis, you’re sure he wouldn’t have got so worked up. You could’ve deflected him, at least lied and bought some time. You wouldn’t blame Andy if he holds this against you. You’re his employee and he was half-throttled on your behalf.
“Hey, how about I give you a ride,” he offers, “I don’t like the idea of you going off alone right now. He could still be hanging around.”
“Oh, I don’t know, that’s too–”
“It’s the least I can do. Really, I don’t mind,” he stops just in front of the locked up office, “come on. The drive will give you some time to calm down.”
You mull the prospect. You can take the fifteen minute ride or wait as long just to get on the bus, then sit in a compartment of strangers as you look over your shoulder every two seconds. You owe him, big time.
“Alright, thanks, Andy,” you accept, “I’m sorry again–”
“Please,” he waves you off as he reaches into his jacket pocket and you hear the chirp of a nearby car, “stop. No more sorries.”
He points you toward his car and you follow him. You parallel him as he gets in on the driver’s side and you daintily swing into the passenger’s seat. The curve of your thigh hits the clutch as you do. You wiggle back in the seat and buckle up. You give your address to Andy as he flips open Google Maps.
Andy clicks his belt into place and starts the engine. You clutch your bag in your lap and stare through the windshield. Your mind is already ahead of you. You just want to get home and have a hot bath, try to forget the day. You drag your fingers up your arm, you’re not sure you can get rid of the lingering sensation of Curtis’ grip or the echo of anger in your ears.
“So, uh,” Andy pulls out, “that guy was pretty worked up. Boyfriend or–”
You shake your head and scoff, “please.”
“Ah, hmm,” he grips the top of the wheel, his other hand tapping along the lower curve, “that club, you must’ve met him there, right? That’s the wild weekend you had, huh?”
“I’d rather not talk about it. I can’t even think about…” you huff and bend your arm against the door, cradling your cheek, “oh, Jesus. I’m so embarrassed.”
“We all have our strikeouts,” he says lightly, “I tried out this dating app after my divorce, not exactly a positive experience, but I learned from it.”
“Oh yeah? Well, yeah, dating is… difficult,” you mutter.
“Tell me about it. Doesn’t get easier either. So much has changed since I got married, then divorced. I went on one date where a woman brought her friends. She just wanted me to buy dinner for them all,” he shook his head, “turns out she was a lot younger than she said on her profile… bit too young for me.”
“Sounds complicated,” you sit back and keep your hand on the door, nervously feeling along the buttons and divet, “I usually don’t– It was all my friends. They always want to go out but I’m just left on the sideline. He was there and I thought he was a nice guy… I was wrong.”
“Well, I can assure you, there are still nice guys out there,” Andy idles at a stop sign. You feel his eyes on you as he stay a bit too long before clearing his throat and stepping down on the pedal, “patience, that’s what my friends tell me, at least.”
“Yeah, I’ll have to just… wait. Hope he goes away, hope I find someone better. I don’t know, being alone isn’t bad, at least you make your own decisions,” you shrug.
“There is that. I don’t miss asking the wife for every little thing, that’s for sure,” he chuckles, “anyway, I just… if this guy keeps bugging you, I don’t mind putting him in his place again.”
“I couldn’t ask you to do that,” you trace your thumb along the interior of the door, “really, it’s my problem.”
“It’s not a problem you should have to deal with, especially alone,” he glances at you then back to the road, “you’re a nice girl. I kinda get why the guy is so crazy but just the thought of him grabbing you like he did, how violent he was, it makes me so angry. You don’t deserve that,” he reaches over blindly and caresses your arm with his knuckles, “don’t think that you do.”
He retracts his hand as you shift. His touch leaves a tingle along your arm and knot in your stomach. That uncertainty bubbles in your chest. Are you reading into this? He’s your boss, he’s being nice. If anything he feels bad for you.
“Thanks,” you utter and look down as you twiddle your fingers.
You stew in the silence as his car engine whirs softly. You lift your chin again to watch out the window, recognising the neighbourhood as he pulls onto your street. You point ahead, “the red building there.”
He follows your direction and pulls in at the curb. You wrap your arms around your bag and blow out a breath of relief. You’re home.
“Thanks for the ride,” you say as you unbuckle the seatbelt, “really, I owe you. How can I–”
As you turn to him, you’re suddenly smothered. His lips are on yours as he brings his hand up behind your head. His beard tickles, both soft and coats, and you squirm, letting out a pathetic murmur. You push on his chest, entirely surprised by the kiss.
You shove him away and heave, “Andy, what are you–”
“I’m sorry, did I misread–”
“Wow,” you shake your head and pick at the lock, facing away from him as you try to hide your horror, “I… you’re my boss.”
You finally push the lock back and open the door. You get a foot out, shaky and unsteady, and struggle to get out.
“I’m sorry,” Andy repeats again.
“You know what, let’s forget it,” You hook your bag in your elbow, turning back halfway but refusing to look at him, “I can if you can.”
“Yeah, of course, I–”
“Good night,” you swing the door shut and nearly trip over the curb.
You face the building, eyes full of tears. What is wrong with men?

“Doll, I’m home!” Bucky’s voice echoed through the house.
He frowned when you didn’t run and jump into his arms like you normally do when he comes home.
“Doll, you home?” He asks.
You walked out down the stairs, stopping on the bottom one. Bucky’s jaw practically dropped to the floor when he seen you. You’re wearing a nurse’s costume. Not just an ordinary nurse’s costume. A sexy nurse’s costume with your red lace bra peaking out the top of it and matching red lace panties.
“I’ve been expecting you, Sergeant Barnes.” You say seductively.
“Y-You have?” He stutters.
“Of course I have. You’re my husband and most important my patient.” You say.
Bucky was speechless. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
“You comin’, Sergeant?” You asked, turning around.
Bucky was hot on your trail as you walked up the stairs to yours and his bedroom. He closed the door behind him after he walked in the bedroom. You used all of your strength to pin him against, catching Bucky by surprise. You placed your lips on his, kissing him hungrily. You moved your lips to his neck, sucking hard enough to leave a hickey behind.
“Tell me, Sergeant. Are you in any kind of pain?” You asked.
Bucky gently grabbed your hand and placed it over his clothed cock causing you to playfully gasp.
“Can you help me with this, nurse?” He asks, playing his part.
“Of course I can.” You say.
You sunk down to your knees. You unbuckled his belt and worked on the button and zipper of his jeans. You pulled his jeans and boxers down just enough for his cock to spring out, his tip leaking with precum. You wrapped your hand around it, slowly jerking him off.
“How’s that feel, Sergeant?” You asked, looking up at him and innocently batting your eyelashes.
“So fucking good.” Bucky moans.
You licked and gently sucked on his tip causing Bucky to throw his head back against the door. He loves it when you do that.
“I have something else that’ll make you feel better.” You say, standing up.
You slowly unbuttoned your costume, letting it fall off your body, revealing your red lace lingerie to him.
“Can you help me with this, Sergeant?” You asked, turning around for him to unclasp your bra.
Bucky expertly unclasped your bra with one hand. You slid your panties down your legs, bending over and giving him a great view of your wet pussy.
“You gonna strip for me?” You asked, looking over your shoulder.
Bucky quickly took his clothes off, throwing them all over the room. You grabbed his hand and led him to the bed.
“Laid down for me please.” You say.
Bucky laid down on his back. You got on top of him, your wet cunt hovering over his hard cock. You leaned down and kissed him hungrily. Bucky’s hands wandered your body, stopping on your ass cheeks and giving them a squeeze. You gasped, pretending to be surprised by his actions.
“Getting handsy there, aren’t you, Sergeant?” You giggled.
“Only for you, doll face.” He smirks.
You reached your hand in between the two of you and lined his cock up at your entrance. You slowly sunk down on his cock. Your jaw dropped, letting out an inaudible moan. Bucky’s eyes fluttered shut as he threw his head back against the mattress.
“You’re so big, Sergeant!” You gasped.
You placed your hands on his muscular chest to steady yourself. You rose yourself up so only his tip was left inside of you and sunk back down.
“How’s the feel, Sergeant?” You asked.
“Feels like heaven.” Bucky moans.
Bucky’s hands made their way to your hips, helping you move faster on his cock.
“Sergeant!” You moaned loudly.
“How’s that feel, nurse?” Bucky asks with a smirk.
“Amazing!” You moaned.
Your fingernails dug into the skin of his muscular chest making him groan at the feeling. One of your hands snaked down to your clit and began rubbing it in circles causing your pussy to clench around his cock making Bucky moan at the feeling.
“Shit! You keep doing that, I won’t last long.” He moans.
Bucky noticed that you were starting to get tired so he decided to take over. He flipped the two of you over so you were on the bed and Bucky was hovering over you. You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him closer to you. You grabbed the chain of his dog tags, tugging on them to giving him a much needed kiss. The kiss quickly got heated. You pulled away to moan loudly. Bucky kissed along your neck, biting down hard enough to leave hickeys behind causing you to gasp at the feeling. You couldn’t take it anymore. You needed him to fuck you harder.
“Harder!” You moaned desperately.
Bucky didn’t need to be told twice. He hooked his arms under your knees and began pounding into you. You threw your head back against the mattress, moaning his name loudly.
“Making me feel so fucking good.” Bucky moans.
His lower abdomen rubbed against your clit causing your orgasm to come closer and closer. Your nails dug into his back when you felt the tip of his cock hit your sweet spot.
“Oh fuck! Right there! I’m gonna cum!” You moaned.
“Cum for me, babydoll.” He says in almost a growl.
Your orgasm came crashing down on you as you came. Bucky fucked you through your orgasm, feeling his coming closer and closer.
“Ah fuck!” Bucky moans, laying his head on your shoulder.
His thrusts became sloppy. Your name fell from his lips as he came inside of you, painting your walls. His thrusts came to a slow stop. Bucky collapsed onto of you, his cock was still inside of you. You two looked into each other’s eyes while panting. Bucky leaned down and kissed you passionately.
“That was so fucking hot.” Bucky says against your lips.
“Yea.” You agreed.
Bucky pulled out of you and laid down next to you. He wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to him. You laid your head on his chest and played with his dog tags.
“Happy Halloween, Buck.” You say softly.
“Happy Halloween, doll.” Bucky says, kissing the top of your head.

Shadow's Embrace Ch. 14
Sukuna x Reader
Disclaimer:
This is a work of fanfiction based on the universe of "Jujutsu Kaisen," created by Gege Akutami. The original manga, anime, and characters belong to their respective owners and creators.
Notes:
This story unfolds in the Jujutsu Kaisen world, set in a slightly altered universe where Sukuna inhabits his own vessel distinct from Itadori Yuji's body, making him a separate entity.
Summary:
Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, becomes fascinated with a female sorcerer rich in potential but lacking control. Initially seizing her for his destructive plans, Sukuna aims to bind her abilities through a contract. Yet, as he tries to dominate her, he finds himself intrigued by her strength and determination. Over time, his interest evolves from strategic advantage to a deeper, personal connection.
---------------------------------------------------------
CHAPTER 14 - Black Flash
Without further ado, Sukuna swung open the door at the bottom of the staircase. The sight that greeted you beyond was a chilling echo of the past.
Sukuna had manifested his innate domain in the space under the apartment. A grotesque landscape that was all too familiar. The pile of skulls, the damp, murky floors, and the jagged rock formations—it was the same domain he had taken you to on that first fateful night.
It was here that he had unleashed a horde of curses upon you, pushing you to the brink of collapse in a brutal test of your abilities.
As you stood at the threshold of Sukuna's domain, you were surprised to find that the usual chills of fear were absent. Perhaps the constant exposure to danger over these past weeks had hardened you, forging you into a more resilient person.
Or maybe there was a part of you that recognized the potential for growth in this twisted arrangement. Sukuna, in his own way, was offering you the chance to become stronger, to hone your abilities through his 'training.'
The notion of power as the ultimate currency in this world was not lost on you; it was a harsh truth that had been imprinted upon you from a young age.
Your parents' tireless efforts, their kindness and ambition, had been swallowed whole by a world that favored those in power.
And Ayumi... the thought of her stung sharply, a wound that refused to heal. Her lack of strength had cost her everything, and your lack of strength had left you unable to protect her.
That is why you had decided to become so incredibly strong that you'd never feel helpless again. Besides, it was the only thing that could be gained from the vow that was forced upon you—and you were determined to exploit the circumstances to their fullest.
With a steadfast stride, you passed through the threshold, following Sukuna into the gloomy domain.
Your feet splashed against the muddy ground, and you thought about how you had much preferred the openness of the abandoned factory over the dark, oppressive atmosphere of this place. Bringing it up would be completely futile though, knowing that the King of Curses couldn't care less about your preferences.
Instead of assuming his usual position of 'towering dominance' atop the pile of skulls, Sukuna stood before you, only a few feet separating the two of you. He stared you down, his expression morphing into a scoff.
"You know," Sukuna began, his voice a low, menacing purr, "I sought you out because I'd heard whispers that Satoru Gojo himself had taken an interest in you. That arrogant fool claimed you possessed 'great potential.'" He spat out the words as if they left a foul taste in his mouth.
"But what did I find upon dragging you here? A weak, pathetic insect, not even worth the effort of squashing beneath my heel."
He took a deliberate step closer, his cursed energy pulsing around him like waves. "And yet..." Sukuna's voice dropped to a near-whisper, "that insufferable sorcerer isn't one to waste his time. So what could he possibly see in you?"
It was as if being in Sukuna's domain enhanced the weight of his presence somehow—it felt more suffocating than ever before.
You could barely focus on what he was saying, but Sukuna continued his monologue nonetheless. "It didn't take me long to notice it—that spark of potential he thought he could cultivate."
He took one more step towards you, closing the already small gap between you. The weight of his cursed energy now intensified exponentially, crushing down on you as your breaths became ragged, each inhalation a struggle against the pressure.
"It's laughable, really. You possess this power, yet you're too pathetic, too ignorant to even grasp the nature of your own cursed technique. What a waste."
It was as if a curtain fell away when he turned around and walked away again, finally giving you room to breathe.
Only now could you truly process his words. What did he mean by 'your cursed technique'? The very notion puzzled you.
You were still grappling with the basics, still trying to find your footing in the world of jujutsu, where a cursed technique seemed to be a must in order to become a powerful sorcerer. And all this time without a proper cursed technique had left you wondering if maybe you'd never develop one at all.
But now Sukuna was telling you that you already possessed a cursed technique? There was no way...
Though thinking back, this wasn't the first time someone had implied that there was something latent within you, a power you were oblivious to.
Gojo's remarks during your training with the bear-shaped cursed puppet suddenly resurfaced.
"That's amazing," Gojo had said, a rare note of surprise in his voice. "That thing you're doing with your cursed energy – it's quite impressive. Though a bit scary, too..."
His words echoed through your head. God, this was frustrating. Why couldn't you see?
It pained you to admit it, but right now you needed Sukuna—you needed him to tell you about your cursed technique. So you swallowed your pride and turned to him.
"Tell me," you called out, your voice firm despite the churning emotions within. "What is my cursed technique?"
Sukuna's laughter erupted suddenly, a harsh, grating sound that echoed throughout his domain. It was as if your question was the funniest thing he had heard in ages. His eyes gleamed with cruel amusement as he looked down on you. "You think I'd just tell you outright? Stupid little sorcerer...You'll have to earn it."
Of course, nothing came easy with Sukuna. He thrived on torment and challenge—what had you expected?
Sukuna spoke up, the laughter now subsided and his voice more serious. "I'll give you a clue, under one condition," he said, as he started circling around you.
"You must land a Black Flash on me."
Black Flash. You were certain you had heard that term before, but to be fair, you couldn't remember at all what it meant. Your confusion was apparent, and Sukuna's expression twisted into one of disgusted amusement. "You don't even know what that is, do you?" he sneered. "Pathetic."
The gap between you and him seemed wider than ever, a chasm not just of power but of understanding. Doubt gnawed at you—did you have any right to call yourself a jujutsu sorcerer?
Sukuna sighed, obviously annoyed that he had to bother with an explanation. "A Black Flash is a moment of pure synchronicity between your cursed energy and a strike. It's the mark of a true sorcerer's power and control." He stopped his circling, as he sought your gaze and locked eyes.
"If you can manage that," he continued, his voice low and menacing, "I might consider telling you more. But don't get your hopes up. Weaklings like you rarely achieve such feats."
You squared your shoulders, meeting Sukuna's gaze with newfound resolve. "Fine," you said, your voice steady despite the storm of emotions. "I'll do it."
Sukuna spread his arms as if welcoming you to attack him. "Excellent," he purred. "Then let's see if you're capable of anything more than being a disappointment."
Steeling yourself, you channeled your cursed energy, feeling it pulse through your veins. You launched yourself at Sukuna, aiming a punch at his face. But he sidestepped effortlessly, his mocking laughter ringing in your ears.
"You call that an attack? Put some real force behind it, woman."
Gritting your teeth, you whirled around and swung again, this time with more power. Sukuna barely moved, parrying your strike with a flick of his wrist. The impact sent a shockwave up your arm, but you pushed through the pain and kept attacking.
"Too slow," he taunted, his voice without any trace of effort, as he kept evading your hits. "Your moves are obvious. Make it less predictable."
You tried to take his advice, mixing up your strikes, but each one missed its mark. Sukuna danced around you, his movements a blur, his contempt palpable. Desperation gnawed at you as you felt your energy depleting.
"You're not focusing your cursed energy properly," he snapped, catching your wrist mid-punch and twisting it painfully. "Feel the flow—let it enhance your strikes, not hinder them."
With a grunt of pain, you wrenched free and tried to focus, feeling the cursed energy coursing through you. You aimed a kick at his midsection, infusing it with everything you had. Sukuna caught your leg effortlessly, throwing you to the ground.
"Disgraceful," he spat, looming over you. "Do you even understand what you're trying to achieve? Synchronize your cursed energy with your physical movements. It's not just power—it's precision."
Scrambling to your feet, you tried to absorb his words, feeling the frustration boil over. You closed your eyes for a brief moment, focusing inward, seeking that elusive synchronicity he spoke of.
When you opened them, you felt a faint but noticeable shift in your energy.
You charged at him again. This time, Sukuna's expression shifted ever so slightly, from mocking amusement to mild interest. You swung, and though he still dodged, it was by a narrower margin.
"Better," he acknowledged with a condescending smirk. "But still far from enough."
Breathing hard, you didn't relent. You pressed the attack, each strike coming closer to its mark. Sukuna's movements remained fluid, but you could sense his attention sharpening.
"You've got some fire in you, brat," he jeered. "But do you have the guts to finish it?"
Now he was just asking for it.
With a roar, you focused all your energy into a final punch, feeling a sudden, intense alignment of your cursed energy and physical strength. As your fist hurtled toward him, the air around it seemed to distort. For a split second, time seemed to freeze.
You felt an unbelievable sense of confidence. Everything came into focus—the flow of your own cursed energy, his. It was as if, for the first time, you could truly see it.
Sukuna's eyes widened slightly, and he moved to block, but your punch connected, a burst of energy rippling through the air. The force made the ground tremble, and you both stood still for a moment, the echo of the impact lingering.
Sukuna's expression shifted to one of mild approval, though his eyes still glinted with his usual menace. "Well, well, look at that—a proper Black Flash. Perhaps there's a sliver of worth in you after all, though it's hardly anything to brag about," he drawled.
God, you hated his guts, but right now, you didn't care about that. You felt a rush of exhilaration, high on the fleeting sense of power you had just experienced. It was intoxicating, and without a second thought, you charged at Sukuna again, driven by a surge of impulsive confidence.
But Sukuna was quick to remind you of your place. With a swift, effortless flick of his wrist, he sent you crashing to the ground with brutal force, leaving you gasping and reeling as pain flared through your body.
You struggled to push yourself up, casting a weary glance at Sukuna, who stood imposingly above you.
"Know your place and don't get too full of yourself, brat, or you'll find out exactly how powerless you are against me."
The impact of the blow shattered the exhilaration from your earlier success, bringing you back to reality. As you lay there, pain still radiating through your body, your mind fixated on one thing: understanding more about your cursed technique.
"You promised me information about my cursed technique," you said, forcing the words out despite the ache in your chest. "I need to know more."
Sukuna's eyes narrowed as his lips twisted into a mocking smile. "Oh? Still hungry for answers, are we?" he drawled. With a languid motion, he walked over to the pile of skulls and seated himself at the base with a relaxed posture.
"Fine then," he continued, surprisingly compliant for once. "Did you notice the flow of cursed energy during that Black Flash? Can you sense your own energy and that of others more clearly now?"
You nodded, feeling the residual effects of your earlier effort. "Yes, it's like I can see it clearly now."
A smug grin spread across Sukuna's face. "Good girl. Here's your clue: From now on, pay close attention to the flow—yours and others'—especially at the moment of impact."
He moved his gaze from the floor below him to meet your eyes, and somehow you found you couldn't look away from his crimson stare.
"That is where the key to understanding your technique lies."

[Episodes 12] The people who can destroy a thing, they control it.
The dawn sky over Coruscant remains dim, deep blue shades tinged with a glowing golden hue as the rising sun slowly peeks over the horizon. It's still too early for most to be awake; the entire city slumbers while the Jedi Temple remains cloaked in silence.
In this quiet, the echo of hurried footsteps resonates within the temple. Though not loud, their hurried steps are clear to your ears. Just as you open your eyes, the door to your chamber swings open. Yord and Jackie stand side by side, having sought you out without prior arrangement.
Their expressions convey different emotions: Yord looks tense and worried, while Jackie appears visibly panicked. You silently observe their reactions and immediately understand what has happened.
You step out of bed and address them in a calm, unbothered tone, “Give me a moment to dress. I hope Master Vernestra can wait.”
The meditation room has been selected as the temporary meeting place since Master Vernestra has arrived at the temple unexpectedly, without prior notice, leaving no time to prepare a guest chamber. Yord and Jackie are not permitted to enter, so you are left alone to face her. As you step inside, you find her already seated in a cushioned chair by a large window.
Although you have never met Vernestra in person, her appearance is consistent with the visions you’ve seen. Her light green skin reflects her Mirialan heritage, and her bald head is marked with several black dot tattoos—a symbol of her race, signifying past accomplishments. She wears a long, form-fitting white robe embroidered with the Jedi insignia on the shoulder, representing the formal attire of a high-ranking member of the Jedi Council. Even when she sits still, she exudes an aura of authority that easily intimidates lesser Jedi and ordinary people in encounters with her.
You approach her, standing with hands clasped in front of you, but you do not bow as the Jedi protocol dictates when meeting a superior. Your demeanor remains composed and indifferent, unfazed by her sharp gaze that seems to scrutinize you.
Master Vernestra’s mood isn’t the best lately. Interplanetary travel has left her inexplicably fatigued. She is becoming acutely aware of her advancing years as she enters her century, with both her senses and strength gradually waning over time. This is why she no longer undertakes missions herself like other Masters, preferring to delegate from behind the scenes. She seldom sets foot off the planet Olega unless absolutely necessary.
Who would have thought that the urgent matter forcing her to leave Olega and travel all the way to Coruscant today would turn out to be a minor issue that has nonetheless plagued her thoughts relentlessly? This issue stems from a strange woman outside the Order who claims to have prophetic visions and accuses one of her former Padawans of being a Sith Lord responsible for the recent killings of several Jedi.
Vernestra clenches her fist without realizing it as unpleasant memories resurface. She then shifts her cold, piercing gaze back to you, appraising you from head to toe.
Whether by coincidence or subconscious choice, you wear a white dress that resembles Vernestra’s. However, the feeling it conveys is distinctly different. Perhaps you appear more fragile and vulnerable, as if about to shatter, with your features framed by simple locks, your appearance unremarkable—not conventionally beautiful, but not unattractive either. The only striking feature is your deep blue eyes, mysterious and unsettling in a way that is hard to define. They are so unnerving that Vernestra has to avert her gaze momentarily, avoiding direct eye contact.
“You’ve caused quite a stir within the Order these past few months, haven’t you?” She begins, her tone sharp and her intent clear—putting pressure on you.
“I don’t think so,” you respond calmly, undisturbed. “Most people here think I’m lying, so they don't really pay attention to what I say. If my words have caused any trouble, it's likely confined among a few.”
She dares to retort me! Vernestra frowns in irritation, her already stern expression growing even harsher.
"Others here may not know, but I know exactly who you are from the moment I see you,” Vernestra sneers, her eyes blazing with a mix of anger and fear. “You’re a Bene Gesserit witch! Someone like you shouldn’t exist in this galaxy.”
You know perfectly well that Vernestra brings this up intentionally to intimidate you, to scare you into fleeing. The existence of a Bene Gesserit is forbidden, and if this secret ever reaches the public, your life will be in grave danger. Even Sol may not be able to protect you.
Yet you remain unflinching. A cold smile tugs at the corners of your lips as you look up at the high-ranking Jedi with a challenging gaze.
"So? What are you going to do about it?” You reply nonchalantly. "Will you try to kill me like you did to your former Padawan?"
The instant those words leave your mouth, Vernestra’s expression changes dramatically. Her body stiffens, and the anger in her eyes has now been replaced by undisguisable fear as she stares at you. "You... you..." Vernestra stammers, struggling to find her voice.
You lock eyes with her, intuitively realizing she looked at Qimir in the same way when she first sensed the dark side within him. This thought pulls your consciousness deeper into the stream of time, unearthing Vernestra’s past and letting you see it unfold again through your vision.
"Your Padawan reminded you of yourself, back when you were the youngest Jedi Knight in history, and everyone believed that you’d become the greatest Jedi of your era." you muse, staring into empty space, your mind swimming through the endless stream of information flowing in "But time was cruel. You had grown older and weaker with each passing day, while your Padawan was still young and growing stronger. You saw that boy following in your footsteps almost exactly, knowing that one day he would surpass you—a truth you couldn't accept. Am I wrong, Vern?[1]"
“Silence!" Vernestra snaps, her voice shrill and trembling, almost a scream.
"Are you going to deny that what I said is true?"
You counter, already knowing she won’t answer.
Because in front of a Bene Gesserit with the gift of second sight, any attempt to hide or lie is meaningless. Vernestra knows this well, so she remains silent, shivering, unable to find words to defend herself.
"You already know, don’t you? That the Padawan you abandoned that day has now become a Sith Lord?"
The question is not asked to seek an answer. You only aim to press Vernestra further, prodding at her until she finally admits the truth.
"Yes, I know," Vernestra lifts her chin defiantly, though her acceptance isn’t a sign of submission. "But I didn’t cast him out because I wanted to. He broke the code of the Order, and I was obligated to punish him. It was my duty as his master."
Jedi must suppress their emotions and feelings, as emotions are the path to self-destruction and lead the mind to the dark side of the Force. You recite the Jedi Code silently in your mind. Some details resembled Bene Gesserit teachings, except that the Jedi Code is far more extreme—so extreme that it ultimately does more harm than good to the Order.
These absurd rules are a major reason why the Jedi Order will face its great downfall in the future.
"His crime... was simply because he had love and attachment for others." You speak, your expression still calm and emotionless, but your voice carries deep pity. "Are you telling me that you feel nothing at all about the tragedy at Starlight Beacon?[2]"
Vernestra's eyes widen in shock, forgetting how to breathe for a moment. If she weren’t sitting, she would be sure her knees would have buckled beneath her.
She knows about that too!
"I know," you nod, as if reading her thoughts. "A long time ago, you and your colleagues were assigned a mission to subdue the Nihil, a group of space pirates that threatened the Republic. You brought your Padawan along the way and stopped to help the people of the planet Eiram, who had just suffered from a cyclone disaster. It was you who allowed them onto the station, not realizing you had invited the enemy inside. It was all part of Nihil’s plan. They had one goal: to sabotage and blow up Starlight Beacon as a declaration of their defiance against the Jedi and to showcase their power to the Republic."
You recount the images from your vision, weaving them into words effortlessly. "They succeeded. Every life on Starlight—Jedi and innocent civilians alike—was lost. Except for a few Jedi, including you and your Padawan, who were not on the station at the time. You stood on the sands of Eiram, looking up at the sky ablaze with orange flames. You saw everything happen right before your eyes, but you could do nothing to save anyone."
"It wasn’t my fault," Vernestra protests, her voice shaking, so for a brief moment, it seems as if she’s on the verge of tears.
"I didn’t say it was. No one intended for such a terrible thing to happen." You’re surprised at yourself for speaking with such empathy. "But is it really your Padawan’s fault for feeling anger and losing faith in the Jedi’s handling of things? When everyone he loved, including innocent civilians, had to die because of this? Wasn’t it the Jedi’s arrogance and carelessness that led to this tragedy?"
The memories of Qimir’s past flash through your mind once more, as if they’re your own. You see the face of the young blonde Padawan, a close friend who Qimir often calls ‘Imri.’[3] Then, there’s the image of a confident, dark-skinned woman, wearing a dark brown jacket and a blue scarf. She introduced herself as 'Avon,'[4] the ship's lead inventor, who later became another close friend of his and the one he secretly loves, though he never had the chance to confess his feelings.
Beautiful memories fade quickly as the scene transitions to the sandy shores of Eiram. You see Qimir kneeling on the sand, eyes red and filled with despair, gazing up at the sky stained deep orange by the flames of Starlight Beacon’s explosion. He doesn't scream or cry; he just sits, watching as the world he knew crumbles before his eyes. The world of his youth and goodness was destroyed that day.
You feel the deep darkness inside Qimir surge forth, expanding toward you. His confusion, rage, and thoughts at that moment coalesce into words that come clearly from your mouth:
"Everyone involved will pay for what happened."
Vernestra wants to argue, but she knows in her heart that you're right.
She remembers clearly that her Padawan was the first to sense the anomaly among the people from Eiram. He was the only one who insisted they shouldn’t rush to bring the refugees onto the station without thoroughly verifying their identities. Vernestra agreed with him, so she called a meeting to discuss with everyone. But the other Jedi and the higher-ranking Jedi dismissed the warning. They claimed there was no time for such precautions due to other important missions. They were confident that Starlight Beacon was impregnable. It was not just any space station; it was the Jedi command center and the Republic's primary communication hub, equipped with top-level security. There was no way the enemy could infiltrate and cause any damage.
That overconfidence became one of the biggest mistakes—a painful lesson the Jedi Order learned the hard way and a deep scar in Vernestra’s heart to this day.
She knows that the tragedy could have been avoided if they had just listened to her Padawan's warnings from the start.
“You knew all along, Vern,” you state, emphasizing what she's thinking. “But instead of standing by your Padawan, you cast him out of the Order, claiming he was unfit to be a Jedi. You abandoned him at his weakest moment. You pushed him to the dark side yourself."
"I didn’t abandon him!" the Jedi shouts, her patience gone as she stands abruptly, her body shaking with overwhelming rage. "He’s the one who chose this path! He forsook the Jedi way, consumed by vengeance beyond redemption. He hunted down every person connected to the remaining Nihil, mercilessly killing them all, sparing not a single soul. At that point, he was no longer my Padawan—he was a murderer, and I had to stop him before things got worse…”
“So, you decided to kill him with your own lightsaber," you add, undeterred by her fierce fury. “But you failed, and your actions drove him onto the path of the Sith because he felt betrayed. The master he once loved and revered chose the Order over him and was willing to kill him on the Council’s orders.”
Vernestra chooses to remain silent.
You continue speaking calmly, and for the first time, you talk to her as the Reverend Mother of the Bene Gesserit, not as a mere servant. "When things spiraled out of control, you and the Order decided to erase all records of him, concealing the truth about the new Sith Lord that had emerged, all in an effort to protect the Order's reputation from disgrace..."
Your voice trails off, and a heavy silence blankets the room as your distant gaze turns to Vernestra. Your blue eyes glow with an unfathomable power. "The Jedi murders on Olega—you already know who the killer is, because every person who was slaughtered had ties to what happened on Starlight. And I'll tell you this, Vern... you're next on his list."
Vernestra's anger peaks. She draws her lightsaber from beneath her cloak, but you anticipate her move. You speak sharply, your voice slicing through the tension.
"Don't you dare challenge me, child. I am now the last Reverend Mother, the remaining heir of Lisan al-Gaib. I stand far beyond the comprehension of you or any mortal. Know this: I could end your life with a single word before you even think of striking me with that lightsaber.”
Each word you utter ripples like a tangible force, resonating with the highest level of Bene Gesserit control, as if your very speech is alive. The power in your words sends a chill deep into Vernestra's bones. She stumbles back, retreating several steps as she feels the sheer force invade her mind.
Vernestra realizes that you are telling the truth, and she understands her powerlessness against the command of the voice.
"Did he do all of this just to get revenge on me?" Vernestra murmurs, her voice trembling as she grips the back of a chair to steady herself, struggling not to collapse.
You sigh and shake your head, pitying how even now she is still unable to grasp the full picture.
“He has gone far beyond that," you reply. "He has a purpose now. He’s no longer driven solely by revenge; he acts to cleanse and change. He won’t stop until the Jedi Order falls, just as it happened to the Bene Gesserit in the past.”
The more Vernestra listens, the deeper her fear grows.
She swallows the dryness in her throat, her voice barely a whisper. “Is there no way to stop this?” Vernestra asks, her eyes still reflecting a glimmer of hope, pleading for an answer that only a visionary could provide.
“Everything arises, sustains for a while, and ceases to exist,” you say, lifting your gaze to meet hers. You let out a heavy sigh. “Your role is just a small piece in the grand design of fate. There’s nothing you can do now except wait.”
“Wait? What am I supposed to wait for?”
You turn your gaze away from Vernestra and look out the window, where the soft sunlight filters through. You allow your mind to drift into the vision of time once more. “Judgment,” your answer comes as a whisper filled with bitterness. “For both you and me, it’s drawing near.”
The waiting ends sooner than expected.
A week later, after Master Vernestra Rwoh received the prophecy about the future from you, she was found dead in the temple at Olega. Her life ended quietly, yet with unbearable suffering. They say the state of her body was nearly unrecognizable, especially with the deep, cross-shaped wounds that had been carved into her back.
The murderer leaves a message behind, its contents known only to the Jedi handling the case.
You learn all of this firsthand when Master Sol arrives on Coruscant, summoned back from Arkinnea to once again take charge of the investigation. The brutal killing of a high-ranking Jedi sends shockwaves through the very core of the Jedi Order, especially as the victim is one of the most renowned Jedi of the era.
Vernestra’s death sparks questions in people's minds—if even a Jedi's life isn't safe, how can citizens ever hope to be?
Facing Sol this time feels no different from your last meeting on Olega. You and he sit in a closed, windowless interrogation room, the atmosphere heavy with tension and unease. But this time, Sol looks even more worn out. The weight of pressure from both the public and the Order clearly affects him, making him appear years older within just a few days.
Sol clears his throat lightly, his bleary eyes glancing at you cautiously. Whenever you meet, you sense his fear towards you, but this time, it’s even more palpable. Even you aren't quite sure why.
After a moment of tense silence, Sol finally breaks it. "Before Vernestra died, she sent me a confidential message revealing everything about her former Padawan, including the details of what she and you discussed privately."
He pauses briefly, then pulls an envelope from his cloak and places it on the table, pushing it towards you. His movements, as you observe closely, are filled with tension you've never seen before.
"Inside are images from the crime scene. The murderer left a message on the wall. I believe that message was meant for you."
Your heart pounds with fear, a chill running through your veins as your eyes lock on the envelope before you, unblinking.
It takes you a while to gather the courage to pick it up and open it. Your hand pulls out a photograph—an image of Vernestra's private chamber, which shows signs of a violent struggle and blood scattered everywhere. But the most striking detail is the message written in blood on the wall—a chilling statement that reads, 'You can't run away from me.'
You know instantly that he is talking about you.
In that moment, you feel the looming catastrophe ahead—a calamity that threatens not just you but everyone involved.
The end of this story is inevitable, but what form will that ending take?
Even you can't find the answer.
Footnotes:
[1]Vernestra's nickname is 'Vern' and according to canon, she doesn't like people calling her that. So when 'You' keeps calling her 'Vern' over and over, it's totally on purpose just to mess with her.
[2]This part references the Destruction of Starlight Beacon from Star Wars: The High Republic, originally set when Vernestra first becomes a Jedi Knight with Imri Cantaros as her Padawan. I have altered the timeline and details to fit the fan fiction, making Qimir Vernestra's sole Padawan and placing him at the event.
[3] Here's a small Easter egg: I decided to adapt Imri Cantaros (Vernestra's former Padawan) to be Qimir's close friend, aligning it with Star Wars canon.
[4] Another Easter egg is the character Avon Sunvale, who plays a significant role in Star Wars: The High Republic as the daughter of a senator and a talented inventor, whom Vernestra Rwoh was assigned to protect. In my fan fiction, she is a close friend to both Imri and Qimir, and also someone Qimir secretly loves.
Ps. And if you pay close attention, I mentioned that Qimir isn’t actually his real name. He has another name from when he was a Padawan, but I decided to steer clear of mentioning his real name because it felt weird to just come up with a random one for him. So, I chose not to say it at all and just referred to Qimir as "he" or "him" when he was a Padawan. I only use the name Qimir in the present context.

Prologue & Leona's Story | Ruggie's Story
Winter was in the air, despite it only being the start of September. But this was the Shaftlands, winter always came early, and a thin blanket of snow would be covering the ground before the end of the month. Jack was out picking berries with his father, as his mother was out hunting game to fill their freezer for the long winter nights. The Howl family was stocked up on almost everything, but having some fresh and rare cloudberries were always welcomed; especially during the long nights that were to come. A raven flew overhead and came to rest on his father’s shoulder, croaking into his ear.
Jack’s ears perked up, but he continued picking berries, trying to overhear the conversation between his father and his messenger, made from sodalite. Hmm, oh there’s a large patch over there! Dad’s busy so he wouldn’t notice if I went ahead and picked those!
“What news do you bring,” the older man asked the bird. A particular harsh wind rustled through the evergreens. Seems like winter would be here early this year, earlier than usual.
The raven puffed up, and shook their head. “The Mrs has harvested a moose, a large bull. Enough to feed the household until spring.”
Mr Howl nodded his head and his raven was off again, going back to reunite with the others. “Jack?” He called out. Nothing. “Jack?!” He looked to where he was earlier, but he wasn’t there. “JACK?!” He shouted, causing birds to leave the trees in a panic. “JACK HOWL?!”
Jack was still busy picking berries, and he stopped upon hearing the echoing, concerned, yelling of his dad. How had he gotten so far away? “Dad? I’m over here dad!” He stayed calm, and stayed put. Should you ever get lost, stay put. Should you panic and run more you’ll only get yourself more lost. He got up on a rock and waved his arms, in the hope that his dad would notice the movement. “I’m over here! DAD?!”
A twig snapped in the undergrowth, and Jack stopped. The wind was moving towards him and he could smell something, something dangerous. He wedged himself into a narrow rock overhang and held his breath. Slow padded footsteps thudded outside and soon he could see the brown fur of a brown bear outside of his hiding place. And he could hear and feel the hot breath entering the crevice.
“JACK?!” His dad shouted, and all he saw was something white and furry fighting the bear. But it wasn’t his dad, it was his mom. “Jack, come on! Hurry!” His dad forcibly dragged him out of his hiding spot and made a beeline home.
…
“What were you thinking,” his mom inspected his face, looking for any marks, even though during the fight with the brown bear a claw had left a gash on her shoulder blade. “I told you to stay with your dad while out foraging-”
Jack’s eyebrows were knotted, and his lip trembled. His mother stopped and cupped his face.
“Love,” she embraced him in a crushing hug, “we were worried about you. Please, just stick near us. Okay? You’re okay, Jack.”
Jack squeezed her back, tail in between his legs. “I’m sorry Mom.” He just wanted to pick some cloudberries, his mom’s favourite. He wanted to surprise her with enough so that they could make some jam together. But all the berries that he had picked had been destroyed during the fight. It was all for naught.
A light knock on the front door made him stop, and his mother went to answer it. At the door stood a blond boy a few years older than Jack, bright amethyst eyes looking up. “Excuse me, Mrs. Howl, but can I play with Jack?”
Jack’s mom looked at Vil, taking mind to make sure her wound dressing was still covered. “Sorry Vil, but-” she stopped and looked towards her son. “But, you’ll have to play here, in the yard.”
Jack looked up, asking silently for permission, and his mom nodded a yes. “What do you wanna play,” he asked excitedly, grabbing some of their usual play things.
Vil smiled, and helped bring the toys outside. “Hmmm, what about knights? Trying to save the village?”
And the two boys went off and played. Vil would continue to visit every day, until a large ice storm rolled in on Jack’s fifth birthday, forcing everyone to stay inside.
That night, as Jack was starting to fall asleep, he looked outside. The ice had temporarily stopped, and a bright orange moon hung in the sky. Green and blue auroras painting the night sky. Jack didn’t know what to ask for when it came to his messenger. He knew it was going to be a raven, as it was customary for a raven to form a bond with a wolf pup.
“Can I,” he paused, thinking. What do I want? “Can I have someone there for me?” He was about to turn in for the night, but an unseasonably warm wind opened the window. He rushed to close it, and when he looked down there was a raven messenger, but it wasn’t made out of typical stone. It was made of petrified wood; representing trust, grounding, and knowledge. But he didn’t know that, all he knew was that he had a raven. That he had a soul match. That’s all that mattered.
…
…
…
Jack placed his belongings down on the floor and the desk beside his bed, looking over the room. He didn’t know what to expect of Savanaclaw, but he was thankful that he at least had a dorm, unlike the one student. They also smelled… different, not a bad different, but different. They didn’t smell like they were from Twisted Wonderland, that they were from somewhere entirely different. But that wasn’t any of his business, and he wasn’t about to poke his nose into someone else’s business, let alone a complete stranger.
He shook his head and started placing his items where he thought they would go best. And since he was now in a place temperate enough without any harsh winters, he could finally start growing some plants he saw in a book once; some cacti. The little green plants spoke to him; they survived in harsh conditions and adapted to not only survive but to strive. He could appreciate that, even if the plant did prick him every so often, he couldn’t blame it for doing so, that’s what the spines are meant for.
His mind wandered, wondering if his siblings were doing okay? He knew that his parents were more than capable of looking after them, but he still worried. Ever since his mom fought off that bear, she hasn’t been able to use her left arm like she normally did; weaker from nerve damage. Her raven also had the scar, and couldn’t fly due to it. But she never alluded that she was in pain, keeping on a brave face for Jack, and later on for his siblings.
Jack looked down to his raven. Unlike the others, his raven was made of fossilized wood, preserved throughout the aeons. He turned it over gently, his hands dwarfing it in comparison. It would stay small, small enough to hold until his soul match’s bird awoke… that is if he had one at all. Apparently, messengers made out of anything other than stone were rare and could be seen as a blessing, but also as a warning. A warning that hardships may await them in the future. He didn’t want to dwell on that though, he had a messenger so that in itself proved that there was someone out there for him. Be they a friend, found family, or life partners, like his parents.
“What lessons do you hold,” he asked quietly, ears twitching making sure the coast was clear. He placed the wooden bird on his desk carefully, and when he was satisfied, he left the room, heading off to the dining hall.
A cold breeze entered the room, which was rare for the Savanaclaw dorm. It carried the smell of snow, pine trees, and a lone snowflake landed on the wood raven, resting between their eyes. They shook their head and stretched out their wings, flexing them for the first time. The cold wind was gone as soon as it came, the warmth from the sun-baked stone returning.
The raven hopped to the window sill, looking out to the rapidly setting sun. “The time is nigh. They are here.” And they took off, but not to find Jack.
…
…
You couldn’t sleep, but what could you really expect? You had just arrived to this ‘Twisted Wonderland’ and everything you knew had been flipped upside down. Magic was real. There are merfolk, fae, and beastmen?! All of the fairy tales were true but they were Disney-fied; honestly that probably saved your butt, since the originals are… well you would have had fewer chances of survival let’s just say that.
“I swear if I see one more Mickey Mouse easter-egg-” you muttered under your breath, rubbing your temples. It didn’t help that your new place, Ramshackle Dorm, was not up to code. How that ‘Headmage’ thought the decaying mansion was suitable to live in was beyond you. To be fair, he does seem to be quite a few screws loose.
A gust of cold wind blew the windows open and you scrambled to close them. When you finally got them closed a low croaking was behind you. You turned around and on your bed were two ravens, but they looked to be made of stone instead of flesh and feathers. “Finally arrived, I see,” the one said, hopping up to stand on the bed frame.
You blinked a few times, but the ravens were still there. “Uhhhh, I just got here.” You had already been exposed to so much today that, sure why not, talking stone birds are totally normal now. Totally normal. Nope, not internally freaking out. You are totally zen. WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?! Not having an existential crisis. Everything is normal here.
“We have been waiting many years for you,” the other raven spoke, their voice being deeper than the previous one. They stood stoically, unlike the more hyper one which was tracing patterns in the hole-ridden bedsheets. “However, there is much to learn here. You must grow before I or your messenger digress any further information. For now, know this; many a hardship will fall your way, but you must stand tall. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.” They bowed to you and took flight, exiting through the window from whence they came, leaving you alone with the more playful bird.
Many a hardship will come your way. You had just gotten here and that cryptic line of advice sounded more like a warning than something comforting. I must stand tall? I’m stronger than I give myself credit for? Haven’t I already received enough character development? I just… I want to go home.
You felt a soft tap tap tap on your hand. The raven had stopped making patterns and was sitting beside you, looking up at you. “Come now, it has been a long enough day for you. You cannot do anything if you are not well rested. Off to bed with you now, shoo shoo!” They flapped at you with their wings.
You planted your feet down, and stopped. “And why should I listen to you?!” You snapped. For all that you knew, this could be a prank, a hazing ceremony of sorts.
The raven stopped and calmed down. “I am a part of you. Once you awaken tomorrow, I shall tell you everything that you ought to know.”
You would have protested more, but in all honestly all of your energy had been drained throughout the day. The mattress was hard and lumpy, the sheets thin and with holes, but you fell asleep quickly. The wood raven silently looking after you.
“King of Beasts,” they said in a hushed tone, looking up to the moonless night. “Make haste, for many a challenge will face them. Send their match on his quest for them… before something else finds them.”
…
…
When Jack got back to his dorm it was dark out, being held back by a fight between Leona and the Diasomnia housewarden. But when he opened the door he stilled. When he left, his wood raven was sitting on his desk, and now it was flying around and collecting anything shiny it could find. “Oh, this would make for a lovely present, yes, yes, that will do nicely!”
His soul match was finally here then. He should have felt happy, but all he felt was confusion. Should I be… happy? “What are you doing?” He asked the raven, as it had made a mess of his side of the room.
The raven squawked, and dropped a coin it was carrying. “Ah, Jack, my good fellow! Finally back I see! Oh, I’m just gathering up some exquisite gifts for you to give to your match!” They presented all of the ‘presents’ they had collected; several coins, a bobby pin, and some dryer lint. “Are they not lovely?”
Jack’s ears pulled back, “You didn’t have to do that, I can do it myself.” He wouldn’t classify any of those gifts 'exquisite’ or ‘lovely’. “Nevermind that. How are you alive?” He already knew the answer but he wanted to hear it, to have confirmation that this was real. That this was really happening.
The raven hopped down to the floor and bit at his tail, hard.
“HEY-”
“There, proof that I’m alive. There should be a bruise tomorrow as well.” The raven looked smug, and puffed up with pride. “Oh your meeting shall be splendid! Their raven and I have it all planned out-”
“No,” he interjected. “Nothing is planned out, it’s not your place to plan how, when, or where, we meet. Don’t force them to do anything.” He didn’t want to force his match with anything, even if both of their birds wanted nothing more than to plan some horribly cheesy scene. “We will meet when we meet.”
The raven stilled in its actions, looking at the things it had collected. “Which will be when, Jack? It has been over ten years since you received me.”
Jack pushed his hair out of his face, centering himself. “I’m not sure, but one day. It could be tomorrow. It could be a week. Months. Or years. But we will meet when we deem ourselves ready. That isn’t for you to decide… So please, let us do it on our own terms.” He sighed, and sat down. He wasn’t planning on any of this happening and it was only his first day at Night Raven College, and there was still yet more to come.
…
…
…
Jack had adjusted to life in Savanaclaw and the college. He may not always agree with how… underhanded some of his peers may be, but he wished not to rock the boat. But he had stepped out of his comfort zone, he had confronted others when they abused their power. But even with all of that chaos, he had made a friend; you. But he knew that you hadn’t told him everything, and he wasn’t going to push you for it either. You would do that on your own terms, and he would patiently wait. Unlike his raven who kept on pushing him.
“It’s almost winter break,” they croaked in his ear. “Do you not wish to inform your parents of this wonderous news? That your match is here?”
Jack shrugged the bird off, and sighed. “I would, but I would like to know that for certain that they, my match, are prepared for… that. Mother can be… overprotective.” He may not be a young pup anymore, but his mother still doted over him. And yes, he loves her, but he doesn’t want to throw his match to the wolves when it came to his family. He didn’t want to rush into it. He wanted a slow progression where they got to know each other.
The raven relented in its actions. “Ah, I understand… have you seen the footsteps yet?”
“No.” No, he had not. There was no trace of any glowing footsteps, and he has yet to be visited by his match’s raven, which means that they were not ready. There was still something they were looking for; either in themselves or around them. He just wondered; what were they looking for?
…
Books upon books upon books, and there was absolutely nothing. No word of your world, the only thing coming close being this world’s version of Paris. Other than that, nothing. You were frustrated. Have the weeks of pouring over volumes of text been for nothing? And now winter break was nearing, and you would be left alone here… stuck as you have been for the past several months.
“Prefect, you look unwell,” Jack’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. He had become an unlikely friend during your time here. He had helped you so many times before, and now he even brought you some lunch, as you were hunched over yet another book. “And you’ve been reading non-stop.”
You looked over to your friend, and there was concern in his warm, golden eyes. A lot of people saw Jack as aloof, but you saw him as warm, but not overbearingly so. “Just trying to understand a few things is all. You don’t need to worry about me, Jack, you’ve done more than enough as is!” He had even brought you a plate of pear compote, his favourite.
He didn’t look convinced, his ears pinned back. “You can just ask, Prefect. I may not know everything, but it’s best to not let things cloud your mind.” He sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
“What do stone birds mean?” You quickly closed your mouth, regretting that you brought it up. As far as you could tell, no one else had a stone bird. “Ignore that-”
Jack cocked his head. “Prefect, do you have one?” He didn’t need an answer, as your expression, body language, and fast heart rate was one enough. “A stone bird means that you have a soul match. Someone who is right for you. They can come in many forms… but a lot of people wish for a romantic one. The more common ones are familial or platonic matches though.” He reached down into his bag, getting out a small journal with a wolf and raven on it.
“Don’t get your hopes up, herbivore,” Leona took a seat at your table and eyed the journal. “Shouldn’t be letting some bird tell you who to bond with.”
You picked at your plate; both of what they said playing in your mind. Jack’s ears twitched, and he opened up the journal. In it were crystal meanings, common birds for the different clans of beastmen. “Bitter, aren’t we?”
Leona’s ears pinned back, and Jack shifted closer to you. He didn’t know why, and he knew that Leona wouldn’t try anything, but he felt compelled to protect you from harm, even if it never came. And the hairs on his neck stood on end, much as the hackles of an agitated canine would.
Leona raised an eyebrow at Jack and rolled his eyes. “Not bitter, herbivore,” he sighed. “Just don’t like havin’ someone else call the shots for me, let alone some pesky bird and some long-dead king from times past.”
Jack huffed and handed the book to you, ignoring his house warden. “Hopefully this helps, since the messengers can’t tell us anything of substance-”
“What’s your stone bird?” Your eyes widened, and you fumbled. Why did I do that? That’s something that only… his soul match should know? What’s the etiquette on asking about soul matches? Did I offend him? Why is Leona looking so smug right now?
Jack rubbed the back of his neck, “A raven, that’s the messenger that wolf beastmen and their soul match receive.”
Huh, that’s- Wait a minute MY ‘messenger’ is a raven- Your brain was scrambling trying to put that information together. “That makes sense, I guess,” is what came out of your mouth instead of some hot word vomit. “Since, ya know, ravens form friendships with wolves and help lead them to food- Well in this case not food, rather their soul match…” You stopped talking, feeling like you were just digging yourself into a deeper hole. Best stop while I’m ahead. STOP RAMBLING! “But, uhhh, thanks for the book Jack!” You smiled warmly, finally having at least a few answers to the seemingly never ending list of questions you had.
“It’s no problem,” Jack offered a small smile and a nod of his head. But you knew that it was genuine, you could read him like an open book.
I don’t get why people are intimidated by him. Jack’s a nice guy. Sure, he’s a bit aloof at first, but he means well. “Just let me know if there’s anything I can do for you, okay?” He had already helped you out so many times before, so you only thought it would be fair for you to help him out in return in the future; not to repay him, but because you’re his friend. Friends help out friends.
He gave you a nod and the bell rang, and you were both off to your respective classes. Both of your wooden messengers flying after you, giving each other a nod.
…
…
…
Ink. Ink was everywhere. Hands were everywhere. And eyes, so many eyes were looking down at Jack. What is this? He shook his head and the scene changed, there were still eyes looking down, but the hands were gone, and there were only a few puddles of ink? Overblot? But there was no one around. The scene shifted again, and this time he was in the magishift field. Leona’s overblot?
“It’s their nightmares, I’m afraid. Rather rare for their dreams to enter into yours.” His raven said, but was nowhere near, off in the physical world. “I cannot do anything I’m afraid.”
But why is my soul match having nightmares of overblots? Only certain people have witnessed them… But he walked forwards, the field shifting into water, the browns and tans fading into blues and purples. Azul’s overblot? But only- But he was ripped out of the dream by his alarm blaring. He shot up out of bed, in a cold sweat. “What was that,” he huffed, trying to calm his racing heart.
His raven hopped over, and handed him a towel. “Night terrors. Premonitions. Awful things. They’ve been haunted by them for months now.”
This caused Jack to frown. His soul match has been haunted by dreams, dreams that he had just witnessed for months? How in the Seven were they able to get any sleep if their dreams were filled with the fraction of what he saw? They must be exhausted… “Is there anything I can do to help?” He hadn’t really thought it over, but the urge to help his soul match, whoever they were, was strong
“Hmm, until you properly meet through the path, no. but you know them, so just keep on supporting them-” the raven stopped, realizing its blunder. Jack wasn’t supposed to know that he had already met his soul match.
He narrowed his eyes at the wood bird. “I know them,” he said, not amused. “How long have I known them for?”
The raven did its impression of a guilty smile. “Oh since about… Actually, I can't say that, as that would be a dead giveaway and can’t have that happen, no no, can’t have that happen at all.”
Jack just stared at his messenger, and he bounced his knee, thinking. If my raven won’t tell me anything maybe their’s will… But that would have to wait until later, right now he was behind in his morning routine. “Fine, I’ll leave you alone then.” If you won’t tell me, maybe their raven will.
…
…
Night after night has only been nightmare upon nightmare. Waking up, sweating, gasping, and feeling like there were eyes everywhere. But they were just dreams. Dreams aren’t real. Dreams shouldn’t scare you. But they did. And tonight was no different.
The sun wasn’t up yet, but you couldn’t fall back asleep. You didn’t get up either, staying in a fetal position, trying to rid the feeling of sticky ink and the sensation that you were being watched. “It was just a dream,” you whispered, “it was just a dream.”
“Dreams have meaning,” the throaty voice of someone said. Out of the darkness walked forward a raven, much like your own. “It is good to heed them.”
Dreams have meaning. “Who is the wolf then,” you ease out of the fetal position and sit up, staring at the raven. Your soul match’s raven.
Amongst the nightmares, the being that saves you is a large white wolf, standing between the darkness, the hands, and the eyes, protecting you. A white knight in furry armour if you will.
The raven clamoured into your lap, getting comfortable. “Thought it would have been obvious. The wolf is your soul match, dearie. Afterall, ravens are the messengers and companions of wolves.”
You knew that much already, and looked down at the wood raven. “That’s not what I meant, and you know that.” Why can’t they give me a straight answer? It’s not that difficult of a thing. “Who are they?”
The raven sighed and propped itself back up. “I cannot tell you that… but I may give you this; you know him. And he is closer than you think.” They perched themself on the window sill, the full moon backlighting their silhouette. “And he knows you. Why do you think he’s in your dreams? It’s a very special link, do treat it with care.” They took off into the night, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
You looked up to the sky, searching for answers. “Should I follow?” A brisk wind entered through the cracks of Ramshackle Dorm, ruffling the sheets and loose papers. It was cold, but in a comforting way. You closed your eyes and breathed in, and when you opened them again you saw glowing footsteps the colour of the harvest moon.
You are ready. The breeze seemed to say. The time for waiting and second-guessing was over. Now was the time for action.
…
…
…
Jack was doing his morning workout session early since he couldn’t fall back asleep after that nightmare, and running tended to get his mind off of things. He was running laps when he noticed something glowing on the ground. Footsteps. “Did you have something to do with this?” He looked up to where his raven was flying overhead.
The raven swooped down, coming to glide by Jack’s head. “No, just some reassurance is all.”
“What did you tell them,” he huffed, speeding up his pace. The footsteps followed him, but they led outside of the field, to the tree that always grew flowers. That’s where they ended. That’s where I’ll meet them?
The raven soared overhead, looking between Jack and the tree, where someone was sitting patiently, picking at the hems of their sleeping clothes; you. “That they know you. And that they are a lot closer than you think.” The raven stopped in front of Jack, making the wolf-beastman stop right in his tracks. “Go to them. They are ready, Jack. And so are you. Can you feel it? It’s in the air.”
There was a slight breeze that carried the smell of winter, but there was something else. Anticipation. And if Jack focused just right, he could hear the anxious heartbeat of his soul match, waiting for him. He looked towards the tree, where his raven was looking, and saw your outline, the weakest hints of the waking sun rising behind you and lighting your features in soft pinks, purples, and orange.
The footsteps led to you. And Jack could feel his tail wagging furiously. Wagging so hard that it was hitting his legs.
Go to them.
He wanted to run forward, but he controlled himself to a calm walk, not wanting to surprise you. All while trying to control his tail which would be a dead giveaway that he was beyond happy that it was you; his soul match had been you all along.
You sat under the tree, as the footsteps lead you there. And so you sat, watching the dark navy of the sky change colours as the sun rose. You heard footsteps approaching you, but you didn’t look up or get up. You knew. You knew they were your soul match.
Closing your eyes you turned to them, and took in a deep breath. “I don’t know exactly what soul matches are, but I do know that I want to put in the effort to befriend you. Not because some raven told me too. But I do hope we can be friends at the least.” You stopped, waiting for his response.
Jack tilted his head, and huffed out a breath of air in amusement. “I don’t think that will be a challenge.”
Your eyes shot open, and Jack was sitting beside you, the light of the rising sun reflecting in his gold eyes. Your raven was on his shoulder, preening his hair, and his raven was on your’s, fixing your outfit. The two birds stopped their actions, realizing that both of you had finally noticed the other. They took off, and performed their dance before falling back onto your shoulders.
“So,” you started, picking at the hem of your shirt, a nervous habit. “What now? Does this change anything between us? Do you want anything to change?”
Jack looked at you softly. “I’m okay with whatever you’re comfortable with… Do you want anything to change?”
I feel safe with you. You gave him a soft smile, “Not really… but I’m okay if it changes as we do. As long as it’s together.”
Fin!
Author's Note; Jack's story is the one with the least amount of hurt/comfort, so he deviates a bit. Happy with how this turned out though! And I hope I did Jack some justice in this! This story also concludes Savanaclaw's part in the Soul Match AU.
